Good to hear that you enjoyed the show. Glenn is presenting the MK3 &4 material to a younger crowd which in turn will turn those fans onto the legacy of the MK3 &4 eras of Deep Purple. Anniversary box sets, new mixes etc, will keep the catalogue ticking over well. Most importantly Glenn is vowing to return to recording and promoting a new solo album, and freshening up the set list accordingly.
Yes Glenn is doing DP a lot of good by performing this, I sat down with him also and interviewed him, you can see it hereth-cam.com/video/Xtpv9s9V2Hs/w-d-xo.html
Saw Glenn many times live..first time in 94..and i gonna see him within 2 weeks here in Holland..Glenn genetic wonder..his voice is only getting better..like wine😊
No Doubts when we’re talking about Mr Glenn Hughes !!! One look back to his career is enough . You had a great experience. But I’m surprised about the set list: here the concert is being promoted as a Burn’s 50th anniversary. Not as a mix of the 3 albums ..
Glenn never smoked. Ian and David did: enough said. Hes 72 for Gods sake. His date of birth is 21August 1952, not 1951. Tommy, David and Joe were born in 1951.
I've always preferred Glenn Hughes in the studio than live, where he's all over the place with his screams, and that goes for the 70s too when he was in Deep Purple!
You're not asking the right questions, you should ask why Glenn Hughes is playing live songs of Deep Purple since 2018 till present when his last solo album came out in 2016, it's almost six years of doing the Deep Purple songs!!!! and of course there is also a new album of Black Country Communion on its way, i saw Glenn live twice when he sang mostly his solo songs plus one or two songs of DP, i saw a lot of videos on TH-cam from the DP songs shows and let me tell you something, Glenn is better live when he sings songs from his solo albums, so the lowest point in Glenn Hughes career are the albums with BCC and then his live shows with DP songs, what a waste of time and energy, i could have seen Glenn for the third time in my life in 2018, but when I've heard that he's gonna play only songs of DP i gave up, anyway, thanks for sharing.
Well these are very valid questions I agree. But I also think that a lot of these musicians are under pressure for bringing on the road the material that draws the most crowd. This gig that I saw for example was a 1200 people venue, 80% of the crowd wearing Deep Purple T shirts and the merch booth was not busy at all where you could buy Glenn Hughes merch. So I have a feeling that a lot of this is a business thing. BUT what I was told there backstage is that it is very much on the cards to do a tour with all his stuff, solo, deep purple and other as well as soon as he finishes his next solo album. Thanks for watching.
I've seen Glenn Hughes many many times. Solo and with BCC. All the gigs have been epic including 4 times on this tour. It just happens at the moment he is touring and celebrating his career with Deep Purple. What is wrong with that. It's been 50 years since Burn, a pretty big milestone. A lot of music fans were not around in '74-'76 and didn't get to see Glenn perform these songs and Deep Purple have onlt played Burn when JLT was in the band. This is the time for fans to get a taste of the band Deep Purple with Glenn. When this cycle is over Glen will be back with a solo album, it's in the works, and touring his so stuff again. Let the guy live his life and you live yours in peace.
@@Dibbdroid Glenn Hughes started the Deep Purple live shows already in 2018, i wrote this in my original comment, so it's a run of six years!!!!!!!!! so he started long before the 50 anniversary for the Burn album, the man behind this channel and i both think that all the Deep Purple live shows is a business thing, an easy way to make money, in my humble opinion the new upcoming album of BCC is also a business thing, i never wrote any bad comment against Glenn Hughes besides my criticism against the DP live shows and his albums and tours with BCC, i sincerely think it's a low point in his career, i wish you well.
@@RobertWeingher only 4 years, two were covid restricted, and Glenn had 3 years and two albums working with the Dead Daisies in the same period. And those shows were epic. BCC was always going to happen again at some point. Another two albums written and produ No idea why you need to be so cynical. Glenn Hughes gas paid his dues and certainly isn't beholden to the likes of you
I don't like how you are using tricks to draw attention to this video by questioning Glenn Hughes capabilities. He explained to you how he maintained his voice over the decades. You should listen more accurately. Thanks.
Using tricks is one way to see it. Another way to see it is that I am making a video based on my personal experience and my expectations, thoughts etc of going to see Glenn Hughes perform live. The question I had when I went was if he stll could sing, then the answer I got from being there (and meeting him) was yes. and then I made a video about that. I could of course have made a 5 second video and just said "Hi everyone, Glenn Hughes can still sing, good bye and thanks for watching" but yes I chose to do it differently. Thanks for watching
