DCT is actually the lower-end side of GCD. I'm excited for the future of this brand. They have some killer stuff coming up, stuff that nobody else is making, and as you've seen the quality for the price is amazing. Upcoming they have a Honda Jade Mugen, a Mercedes A55 AMG W210, a Dome Zero with moving headlights, Spyker C12, Volvo C30, Peugeot 206, BMW 850 CSi, Nissan Fairlady Z33 Nismo 380RS, Mercedes SL65, Toyota CH-R, and probably a ton more. Also probably not all licensed, but I don't personally care.
How do you know all these info ? 🙂
Preordered the Spyker C12 and waiting for it
I truly believe that the Peugeot 505 SW is a very special casting. One of the best of these last months. That car was highly popular in South America, where I grew up in the 80s-90s. Of course, it was also popular in France and some countries in Europe. Nice to see this Chinese brand replicating this car. Just found out the 505 SW was also very popular in places like Hong Kong. Love your videos!
The moment the Peugeot was announced I knew I had to get it. Bought the silver one and it is in my top five castings for 2024 already.
@@hellisio Bought the light metallic blue one. That was the most popular shade for the 505 SW way back when in Argentina.
@arieljudas i can't tell with one hundred percent accuracy if it was true or not, but i remember mostly grey/silver ones im France. And i would have bought more colours had i known it would turn out so good.
My friend’s parents, who lived in Europe half of the year, had one here in the States. Only one I ever saw here, he got it as a hand me down when his parents were done with it, and he drove the ever loving crap out of it, then sold it for $500 when he was done with it. It was still running pretty well at that point.
DCT impressed me early on with the level of detail on their Toyota Levin. I bought one for myself and another for a friend in a different livery without any qc issues. The interior and undercarriage had detailed parts, which we often don't get at twice the price. I've since bought two 500 sec, in white and black, luckily with all wheel hub logos centered just fine for both.
Meanwhile at twice the price, three of the three Para64 I've bought have had one or more qc issues... paint stalagtites on the mirrors, janky light inserts, and on my Pantera a droopy sagging bumperette on one side. Pretty frustrating
DCT's Lexus LFA is quite nice. Definitely the best of what's currently available in 1/64 at a decent price. The Kyosho currently commands a stratospheric price.
I do like the fact that these are screwed together. Really cool of you to break one down for us. I definitely would be one to fix that steering wheel on that Juke.
Please show some more of your 60s and 70s cars.
These are quite nice for their asking price though there are many quakity problems, especially on the LFA. This and the hypercar collection makes you wonder the validity of the premiums being charged by the eatablished brands.
DCT is GCD’s lower end brand. I have a yellow LFA and loving it. I want to get the blue and also white one next
I love this brand, Dave. One of my new favorite up-and-comers. They are getting some licenses….It’s a great one to keep on your radar.
Sweet!
Very interesting models 👏😆. I never heard of this brand before. It's nice to see that they do some not so popular models. I really liked the Peugeot wagon. Thanks for sharing 😉👍.
ERA Car has a Lexus LC500, maybe you’re thinking of that one.
Very cool video championdjk
This is the souped up version of the Juke - it wasn't sold in the US. Its certainly cooler than US market ones. Overall, DCT is nice. Their first model had poor stance (Mercedes SL) but later ones are better. Price is great. Awesome video. I wish we got some new US brands too - most of the innovation seems to be in China.
I like the peugeot 505SW, always looking for wagons to add to the collection, so many color options on ebay. The juke is the vibe equivalent of Nissan. world car so I can see why they made it. the peugeot wagon is the only one i see produced in 1:64 since Majorette
I got the wagon and the Mercedes from AliExpress a few weeks ago. Very nice.
I have that Peugeot in that same colour and that Mercedes in gold and I really like them. 😀👍
Neither of them have any major quality-issues, very good models, i'm gonna byu more of this brand.
That LFA is one of the best 1:64 ones i have seen.
I have all of the Toyota Corolla Levin, All of the LFA a few of the Maserati, a Juke and a few Mercedes 500 SL
Strange. I have the first release of the Nissan Juke. It has the Nissan licensing on the box. It also just came in a window box without the case.
These models are OK for the price. There not bad. I the the best LFA model is Era Car. I think they did the best job. The only thing is the Era model has an opening hood and doors but I think I paid about the same price. My favorite is the wagon also. Thank you for sharing.
These are really nice!
You questioned why anyone would be into a Nissan Juke. I questioned MBX when they made a basic Nissan Sentra, and I'm a fan of the Sentra, I've had several. This version of the Juke is a "R" which we never got in the US. They only made a handful of them at something like $600,000.00usd and they were very insane. They had a GTR35 drive line and suspension.
Their breakout casting where I live is the FD2 Type R, costs absolute peanuts too compared to an inno or a tarmac works.
Their roughest casting so far would be their AE86 Levin, the roof proportions just writes it off completely.
I can't agree, JKM doesn't appear to have the same quality and attention to detail as DCT. I'm familiar with DCT models and they do better inserted lights, for example, than JKM. Some JKM models like the Evolution Lancer have all red lensed tail lights, not a bit of white or yellow.
I'll go with DCT any day. Time to bring in the baddass TimeMicro and let's see who is boss.
Some of JKM's castings often have a bunch of small inaccuracies that unfortunately just add up and bring down the model as a whole. Case in point would be their Evo 3 and 4.
I have a few DCT models, mostly the odd ball cars, much like Xcartoys. Both brands are producing some pretty decent models.
These are a GREAT value to be honest, a little sloppy on the QC side of things, but compared to a 40$ mclaren RLC thats an absolute mess QC wise, i'd rather take a 7-9$ gamble on DCT than a 40$ one with hotwheels lol, not to mention DCT absolutely DESTROYS a 40$ RLC when it comes to interior details, makes RLC's look like a scam.
DCT has also shown some previews of upcoming releases, and they have some bangers in the works! If only they could just improve the quality by like 30% and charge 30% more, it would be perfect.
The Juke R is strangely kinda cool in real life
I have been enjoying DTC so far. I started with the LFA. Then got a couple of Toyota bBs. But the one that did it for me was the Peugeot 500 SW. So nicely done, and something I was not expecting to see in a premium 1/64 scale series. I have now on pre-order a Volvo hatchback, the Spyker and the Alfa Romeo Giulia. I missed out on the Juke R and that’s a shame because I always loved this odd looking car :)
I’m definitely game for the Spyker what a weird car
@@Championdjk and yet, looks so cool :)
ChampionDJK!!
DCT and GCD under the same umbrella/factory. I noticed the similarity in how the car is not screwed to the base and is held within the clamshell.
The peugot is kinda bang fr the buck
Those are beauties!
Nice Peugeot.
DCT... JKM... and Poster Cars are all about the same quality. I think they are all great for the price.
Ebbro did a nice LFA Nürburgring in 1:43. Went after that one-looks much better in that scale, and it’s hard to justify getting a 1:64 until they get on that level. Though this DCT is the best effort I’ve seen. Think I’d buy it if it came in Yellow or Orange.
I know for sure that it comes in Yellow
@@Championdjk - I’ll look into that! Thanks for the info. :)
You have sold me on it, lol. Hopefully mine has better headlights!
There are literally 100s of 1/64 scale brands out there lol
As far as these odd Chinese brand 1:64 companies go, I really like the one that made the silver Crown Vic and I really want to get one. These were ok. LFA looks good, needs more attention to QC.
Yes that brand that made the crown Vic was really good. I think they actually have some more stuff coming. The Chinese brands sure like their acronyms… makes them hard to remember
"held together with an adhesive... sticker... thing..."
You mean... a... tape?😉
Well it’s a decorative tape… so there is that
The best LFA I have is a Hobby Japan midel. Maybe thats the other one you have?
Hmmm I don’t have the LFA from Hobby Japan. I have only a couple HJ’s
reasonably priced, nice detail, a little boring but i would consider picking up the mercedes, sorry i mean the 500 sec
I thinks that's a Nissan Juke R ...nissan made 1 prototype fitted with vr38dett same engine as a nissan GTR
Interesting set of cars. While a couple of them seem to look pretty good, just not feeling this brand. Kinda dig it! OK stuff.
What. IS. DCT.? Die cast. Team
Why are you saying sorry for spending 30 minutes on 4 cars? Wasn't that the point of the new format?
Yes and no. at the same time the vids were supposed to be shorter haha
@@Championdjk Haha,,, well I love it!!
Me too, loving the deep dives, so I don’t mind the length if the quality is good. Which it is.
