I would say though that Living AI could add a default “listening off” condition until the person says, “listen” before the robot will start responding to its name again. I am forty two and I liked Vector’s twittering to himself while rolling around my desk. I can’t tell from your videos, but are Emo’s sounds more loud or something? Do you have an example of his noises when he is left to himself? I also liked when Rux tried to answer in English when set up in another language. My iPhone sometimes does this when reading a webpage with multiple languages on it. I visit a lot of fan sites for Aibo 1000 and.my phone tries to read the English portions with Japanese phonetics and it’s halarious.

Your EMO was in “search” mode when you were calling him and he wasn’t responding. Until he finds a face to identify or exits the mode after moving around in a circle, he will not respond to you. The programmers should fix that.
Some stuff so emo listens to you: 1, get him to stop moving, 2, if he refuses to dance, try saying it in a different voice of say something like "dance for my video" ect
Thank you for that review. I have Emo, and if I'm honest, I'm not happy with his response time for hearing my voice. Plus, his voice sounds low and not clear. Another thing I'm not happy with is that a couple of his songs have the F word in them. I only keep him, so I can say I have him. I think my favourite would be Rux x
That's a great point! The EMO GO HOME version definitely makes things more convenient without the hassle of charging. I'll look into whether Rux has that feature!
