I am in Orlando Florida and last Wednesday I drove 9 hours to pick up a friend son. We arrive to downtown Lenoir at 1:00 am yesterday Thursday, and soon I got out from my car.. there was some kind of nice comfortable feeling, and that's the reason why I am watching this video
@@PegsGarden not much better. Unfortunately having a black sheep of the family has revealed most of the nasty areas normally hidden. The part of Lenoir I was raised in and where my mom still lives is full of drug dealers that no one does anything about. It's why I refused to move back and would never raise my child there. Hickory is only slightly better but more up the mountains toward Blowing Rock/Boone starts the 'nicer' areas
I'd like to know about the black community there.....just a little more in-depth....kinda feels like they're just showing the pretty part.....has my interest a little tho
You are exactly right about this video only showing the "pretty parts" of this town. I am a native of Lenoir and can tell you it's not all it's cracked up to be.
@@Wolfie28645 If you concentrate on the "bad" parts of any town USA, you may think twice about living there. That's the problem with the world today. Everyone seems to look for the bad in things, not the good. I grew up in Lenoir and have spent the better part of 50 years here. The good things about this town far exceed the bad. It's all about what you make of it.
@@Wolfie28645 And that is why I gave mine. The guy that ways talking about maybe moving to Lenoir needed to hear both sides to make an informed decision. i wasn't trying to pick a fight, I was merely giving a different opinion of the town I call home.
Every town has it's shady places... It's called freedom. Some people are free to live according to the kinds of choices others may not make. It's not perfect, but what is?
I really admire this town but it angers me how the elite establishment sold our country out just so we could by cheap plastics from China! In order to have a healthy and solid economy you must have considerable manufacturing.

Live here, amazing town.
I'm still here .....
I love Lenoir but it has so much more to offer.
Looks like a wonderful little town.
It is i live there
It's nice, kinda...
It's really not. It's a drug hole now. Coming from someone born and raised there who only returns to see family. I refuse to raise my child there.
@@trippinonlizard54 Oh really, how is Morganton??

Grew up there. I feel genuine empathy for the people there, but it's the kind of town you escape, not visit.
Do you think there's room for a wood floor specialty business in town?
Hell yeah there is. There's tons of hardwood floor houses here. Some of them dating back to 1920-1960's

@@Wolfie28645 Thanks Josh me and my wife was looking into Lenoir to maybe settle there. I guess we going to look somewhere else.
