I can’t believe golden harvest relieved Don of his contract for this movie being bad. It wasn’t his fault.. I think he’s good in this. The movie was just shot terribly though. Half the fight scenes are in the dark. I wish they’d have kept Wong Tao .. he was awesome!
Slaughter In San Francisco is a film Chuck Norris appeared in, early in his career, in which he played the Bad Guy. His fight at the end with Don Wong is a lot of fun to watch.
He was also a bad guy henchman with no lines in the 3rd Matt Helm secret agent film, THE WRECKING CREW (1969) starring Dean Martin. Dean Martin beat him and all the bad guys attacking him.
I am currently studying tang so do and chuck does it so beautifully here. It would be cool if chuck norris just dropped by my dojo one day out of nowhere to teach. Unlikely but a cool thought no the less:

BL went on to make Game Of Death. The shooting of Game Of Death was temporarily interrupted because he went on to star in Enter The Dragon. After Enter The Dragon, Game Of Death was never finished because Bruce died suddenly in 1973

Top tier boxers don't care if your bigger, they beat their opponent with high level skill in the way of the fist and the popular ones look good while doing so without even becoming world champs. If your saying Bruce wanted to look good he wouldn't have gotten Chuck. They are close friends. Chuck has said Bruce hits exceptionally hard for just a street fighter.

What I always thought would be hilarious is this: seeing Don catch Chuck with several open-palm strikes to the chest and gut; every time, Don comes away with a handful of Chuck's hair...while Chuck has a hand-shaped bare patch on his once-hairy gut and chest!

The beginning of the fight wasn't actually bad, and @1:25 as well. And he did all his own stunts in here. He totally nailed the Marlboro man thing in here more than any other film.
Kind of funny how people claim that these Chinese ACTOR martial artists would kill chuck... Lets be honest. In a real fight chuck would probably be a better striker than 90% of them, let alone his black belts in Judo and Machado BJJ. Not to discredit acting martial artists - something chuck is also in a sense, but we have to realise that chuck trained for fighting in multiple martial arts, and his point fighting skills definitely give him a timing advantage.

Just type in, Code of Silence bar fight, and it will pop up. He also lost in Slaughter of San Francisco during the climactic duel at the end. He was the villain in that picture. And he lost his first fight with the villain in The Cutter, his final movie. Norris was never so proud as to refuse to take the fall. His characters frequently got hurt, and at times even lost. Though I’ll admit he phoned in a handful of performances in the 90s and early 00s where he basically put on God Mode for the role. I usually found those movies a bit boring. Based on the look on his face, so did he.
