KOC said in a recent Vikings “X and O’s” segment that Stingley and Jefferson are really close friends. Havent heard anyone else mention that, trailing back to their LSU days. That matchup will be fireworks 🤘
I enjoy the show, Mina! For picking winners of games, one idea could be to wait until the end of reviewing all the games and then quickly picking winners. Or maybe have a list pop up at the end of the video of who picked who. So you won’t have to remember to pick a winner after each review
You would think the commanders offense had multiple 3 and outs how they talked about them….they didn’t punt last week. OL penalties killed drives inside 10 last week
@@stringer4 sure, and what im saying is that focusing on penalties is giving way too much credit to the other parts of what is not a particularly talented offensive group. they got by on facing a really really bad team.
I'm confused by their highly critical analysis as well, it almost strips all the positives away, removes the context, then focuses on the remaining quantitative stats. The team put up 400 yards of offense, JD lead a 2 minute drive and put them in scoring position. Daniels has been running a lot but part of that is because he hasn't wanted to throw despite there being opportunities, and 3-4 sacks last week were in him, but do to the RPO game. It's not like he's been getting mauled in the pocket every play. I hope he and the team shows out on Monday.
Commander fans are excited about the offense. We are 5th in EPA and fourth in first down rate (I think our chances of getting another first down when we have a 1st and 10 is like 83%). The passing game has the training wheels on and we have receivers who probably rank in the 20's, an O-Line that probably ranks in the 20's in terms of pass protection, and a rookie QB and yet we are still averaging 7.7 yards per pass attempt. So as a Commanders fan this year has be very aestically pleasing. On 80% of drives we are getting into scoring position 15 drives, 3 TD's and 7 out of 9 fg's. The training wheel offense may stop working and we may have to adjust but Please Don't Change anything while it is still working. Its been a fun season for the Commanders so far.
The Chargers Oline's biggest problem is the interior, Zion Johnson being especially atrocious, they don't have issues at either of the tackle spots though, Slater and Alt have held em down
Yep. Strange how analysts always seem to completely ignore the interior O-line when discussing a team's pass protection results. Slater and Alt have allowed just *THREE* pressures combined in the opening two games lol.
I think Solak makes good points about the speed on HOU’s receivers vs MIN’s secondary. HOU definitely feels like the “safer” pick. MIN probably needs a few more weeks to prove they can sustain their SUPER high level of play through 2 weeks.
Bears fan here, o-line has been issue since mitch trubisky. run ball, play action, move pocket. we say this phrase every year too. but ya best place for rookie QB cuz look at all the receivers!!! maybe the Steelers can fix Caleb in a few years
Ben has one of the worst takes on the Jets I have seen so far this season. He said he thinks "the pass protection is worse than they thought it would be" yet the data says they are scoring out as a top ten line so far and are clearly still getting better. Either he hasn't been paying attention, or he is unable to accurately process what his eyes are seeing.
Love Ben, and he has generally done a good job over the past couple of years slowing down the rapid fire delivery, but it got away from him here from the get-go. Maybe lay off the caffeine Ben.
Commanders are clearly easing Daniels in and not trying to play hero ball like Caleb williams. Crazy how down yall are on that approach it makes a ton of sense. Analytics are saying he's playing fantastic so far. If there weren't so many false starts in the red zone last week you'd be sounding a lot different.
I know PFF isn’t the end all be all of stats, but the Jets having the 8th lowest sack % doesn’t seem to indicate their line is struggling? Maybe the percentage stat is a little misleading but putting them in the same box as Chicago is puzzling Edit: 8th not 6th
The Panthers D played pretty well against the Chargers, even though that might not have shown up so much on the scoreboard. Give Dalton a week or two and I think they'll be playing a bit better than a few teams.
Waiting for the Commanders was worth it because it validated how frustrating it is to watch these games. I appreciate not trying to make the case for this team and switching to what you would need to see. Let Terry be scary.
I don't get the point that Darnold has been trying to throw INTs. I don't really think he's been unsafe with the ball really at all, the INT this past Sunday was dumb but that has basically been it. Really haven't seen a bunch of near misses like Solak is referring to
100%, Right now Sam is throwing it better than CJ, running it better than CJ, and not taking as many sacks as CJ, against better defences. Just saying.
Everyone keeps saying about the colts defense. Like they only gave up a ton of yards in first half against green bay. But didnt give up much in 2nd. Only gave up 16. and as bad as richardson supposedly was. I counted 7 drops that hit receivers in the hands. So not all on him.
Will Levis needs the whole season. Isn't the whole narrative around Bryce that his situation has sucked? How is Levis' situation that much different? Last year Titans had one of the worst OLine/WR core groups same as the panthers. This year, Titans still have a god awful OLine so far but our WRs are better. New HC/OC/ 70% of the roster is different and the media wants to bench him in his 11th start? We would've given up on Josh Allen or Peyton Manning too.. Let the young QBs have a chance to develop
ok but did you see garret wilson respond to the tweet about a guy whose dog died, and was looking at a wilson Jersey? It’s like promising a kid in the hospital to hit a homer
I love how Mina casually admits she's not really Pro Justin Fields, she's just Anti Russell Wilson as a starter. This is obviously the position of most people in the media for various reasons, and I just wish most would just admit it. It lends more credibility than just trying to glaze those Kenny Pickett esque led production from the Steelers the first 2 games. Fortunantely for the ANti-Russ crowd the type of injury he has is one that generally lingers and being an older player doesn't help. SO they may win by default.
KOC schemed Cousins open for 2 seasons too, and if you watched the Vikes in Pre-season, KOC also schemed wide open windows for Jaren Hall, McCarthy and Mullens. Just for the record per Pro Football Reference Darnold's throws on target 83% and bad throws is 10%, versus Stroud at 80% and 15% respectively - perception vs reality. Darnold's throws on target 2020 - 72%, 2021 - 74.5%, 2022 - 77.1%. Kirk Cousins in 2022 when he went 13-4 with KOC - 76.5%. Be careful of locking yourself into your opinion of Darnold from 2019... Hey guys, you were both worried about Tampa losing D Canales, Baker regression, and picked Tampa to not be in the playoffs. So now, Baker is balling, and yet both of you went nuts for the WRs and L Coen! Why so afraid to give Baker some love? Now it’s Coen getting the credit you were giving Canales during the summer? BTW, Baker is still doing this without a run game, and without a top half Oline. I have a suspicion you’re waiting for a bad game(conformation bias), and hit us with the “this is what you get with Baker Mayfield”…….
Teams kept building defense for the pass, to the point they are not set up to stop the run, esp the bigger backs. was just a matter of time. Denver's defense been keeping them in games, but being on the field 40 mins takes it's toll. If that offense in Den can get goin. things will get better. If the Steelers reduce the penalties, Fields has a lot more passing yards. vs Denver Fields woulda had near 200 yrds passing as at least 50-70 yrds was erased by penalties.
What does "designery" mean? It was odd that Baker was discussed as if he is a mere cog in Liam's offense whose main beneficiary is Godwin. Baker overcame 5 sacks to will his team to victory against the NFL darling Lions, and he is barely mentioned.

Ben and Dominique are at the opposite ends of the energy spectrum. I prefer Dominique as he doesn't YELL every 3 minutes and I don't have to listen to him at 0.5x speed to catch what he is saying.
So if we are going to skip over the losing teams, why are we talking so much about the Ravens? The reality is that you made predictions and you are still sticking with them (and dismissing teams you predicted to be bad). You did the longest segment on the Jets v Pats. So even though the Pats have a win, you predicted them to be a bottom tier team, and the Jets are 1-1 but they havent looked nearly as good as their preseason hype. So if you are focusing on the relevant teams, why is this game your longest segment? You talk about whichever teams are most popular in Connecticut, not the ones who have shown us something in actual play. Also, just because a QB was great in college doesnt mean he will be great in the pros. Completely different game and many of these 'athletic' QBs do great in college but cant read sophisticated defenses in the NFL (Manziel? Tebow? 2x Heisman winners, couldnt cut it in the NFL). When a talking head says something like "He was so good in college....it must be the coaching" tells me they just dont understand the difference between minor league football (college) and the NFL
Tbh who watches the jets though? They’re overrated and have a 40 year old qb coming off an Achilles tear and hasn’t thrown for 300 yards in like 2 seasons.
Titans fan here. Y’all played the worst edge group in the league in week 2. Harold Landry is a good player but we’ve got absolutely nothing other than him. Jets offensive tackles might be good now, but I wouldn’t use that game as any kind of evidence. My boy Joe Tippmann whipping ass though.
Good, I can't wait to bury Rodgers when my Bills get a chance. We are feasting on QBs. Maybe Saleh should bench Aaron for the Bills just so he will be around the rest of the season.
Jets are near the bottom of the NFL in rushing efficiency right now. You do realize that the o-line doesnt just pass protect, right?
