It worked really well! Plus you managed to capture the tension that Circe’s VA had. I adored Sindel’s voice bc like, I can hear the convincing tone behind the words. but but… the metre… like in ‘just a man’ the emphasis is on ‘just’ and ‘man’ but in human you cannot place the emphasis on ‘man’ without it sounding really weird. like it’s HU-man not hu-MAN. like try to sing human on the points where jorge sings ‘a man’ and you’ll notice it sounding really weird BECAUSE THE EMPHASIS IS REVERSED. uh uh. let me think for a moment. you could just keep it ‘just a man’ as in, man for the entirety of the human species, which would work really well because, y’know, the difference is between god and humans, so like, you could just keep it how it is. another solution would be to do something like ‘not a god’, wouldn’t recommend it for the full song but you could switch it up sometimes! the funky thing about this is that like, in many stories it’s gods versus monsters so you’d kinda insinuate that odysseus will be forced to become a monster which is like nice thematically but uh well. anyhow please don’t try ‘just human’ no hate to the previous commenter like it was a great suggestion but metrum wise it doesn’t fit with the origial song and you’d have to change the entire meter of the song to make it make sense and like yeah you could do that but that would require lyrics rewrites and everything and maybe melody changes-
