Can you make a in depth video of how all these cryptos interconnect? And how ETH and BTC effect all cryptos. And I guess what platform and blockchains there are and I guess the types. One thing that's always confusing for me is transferring or swapping currency. And how people say first swap this coin using this main net then ERC 20 this and ETH mainnet that.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, most markets are centralized and own the crypto your buy. Does that mean when buying within a market, your don't affect the price? And also since most markets I believe have their own liquidity pools and small price differences but yet follow same pattern as other markets, who or what sets the true value for a currency?
The place you are pointing at in 0:06 is MY COUNTRY MALAYSIA, and the circle in 1:30 consists of Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore with a total population of more than 300 million, compared to 50,000 population of the Marshall Islands.

I've just read The Marshallese Sovereign (SOV) whitepaper and I have to say, I absolutely love it! Its not a CBDC (like Chinese yuan) at all. Its actually DDC like most crypto and the whitepaper makes a very good case why this is a way to go for most countries looking to adopt crypto.

It is a unique blockchain that does not fork.

I highly suggest researching who the WEF is, and how the same interests that set up the WEF set up MIT a very long time ago to push technocratic global governance. Great sources for this are Patrick Wood's interviews at Grand Theft World, Unlimited Hangout, and The Corbett Report. Many other excellent research resources can be found via the main hubs of information.

Nice video, but the PPoS explanation is actually incorrect!
The 4-6% staking rewards you mentioned have nothing to do with consensus and will be phased out in 2022.
It is being replaced by governance, whereby you pledge to keep your wallet's balance at a certain level, and if
you do, and vote on important issues, you get a cut of the governance reward pool every 3 months. You can
withdraw anytime and there is no slashing!
You still need to set up a validator software to participate in consensus, but unlike Ethereum:
1) An Algorand validator is super lightweight, it can run on a Raspberry Pi and involves no mining whatsoever.
2) You do not receive any reward or compensation for running the validator at all. You need to run it purely out of altruism.
Here's how PPoS actually works:
1) You set up a validator and delegate your wallet's balance to it.
2) About every 2-5 seconds your validator rolls a special random number generator (the titular Algorand algorithm)
and depending on your stake you have a certain chance of becoming the next block proposer. If you are selected, you
broadcast the block you've assembled up to that point.
3) A bunch of other validators are then selected by the same algorithm to validate the block you proposed. If they agree
that it is valid, it is recorded and finalized.
4) Go to step 2.
The advantages are that there is no incentive to consolidate power, bad actors don't know who to attack (due to the randomness),
it is infinitely scalable as only a certain number of validators are selected each round regardless of how many are online, and it is
mathematically impossible for the blockchain to fork.

Hi WC, I dont think Marshall Islands are there. Looks like it is off Borneo Malaysia. The Marshall Islands are located way east. And that looks like the Indian Ocean instead of Pacific Ocean?

ASAs are popping right now. Verified ASAs have the Algorand Foundation stamp of approval, like Yieldly, Smile, Akita Inu, Gems, and many others. Love that you pointed out that Algorand is all carbon neutral or carbon negative! So much upside vs ethereum.
The 1 year ALGO chart shows its had consistent growth not forced turbulent growth. Its pretty much traded side ways for a month now.
Although I do worry if those peaks into trading level is a sign of whale activity? Price suppression.
Something I think BNB has been doing until recently when it finally started to move again.

The country you pointed out and circled in the map is actually Malaysia and not Marshall Islands.
Indonesia is the one have more islands, Borneo island is only partly Malaysia.
Geography is not his strong point. The other day said that UK had euro as currency.

excellent, again. One suggestion... one of the most important things that a software developer must consider when choosing a project to target for their new dApps is... what language(s) does the project support? Solidity, Rust.. etc. The suggestion is any time you mention that a project supports "smart contracts," name the language(s) supported. Also, might be interesting to do a single video that looks at the crypto universe through the lens of the software language(s), pros, cons, etc.

The respective programming languages differ greatly in some cases. I believe that a blockchain system based on Python would attract many more programmers. Lamden (TAU) is such a project, which is Python-based.
from my research and knowledge, Algorand uses rust. However, I do believe python works as well.
The contracts themselves are written in TEAL, a sort of assembly-like language. But you do not write TEAL, you use their official Go, Python or JavaScript SDK to transpile code into TEAL.

How does proof of stake work when a project reaches its total max supply? Why would people stake if they aren’t gaining rewards anymore?

Hey whiteboard crypto. Could you please explain what a fair token launch is and how it differs from regular idos or icos?
Until the WC does your video, a fair launch is when all coins are minted through mining. The ICO s make some coins by programming (ie 20%) to give them to early investors and another 20% for the developer s, and then is launched.

Is the rewards just by holding the coin considered a stack Ng reward therefore taxable under income tax ? (UK)
Not sure about tax laws, but if you use the Algo wallet the staking is automatic. Versus if you hold on an exchange, that staking is probably reported to tax authorities.
