Dude, I needed this. I have a 'bored and disruptive' kid in my preschool english class, who also learnes quicker than the rest. I might give him some harder activities to do 😃

Just remember that more work is not the same as more stimulating work.
I've had multiple teachers who just gave me 2 or 3 times the work, but it was the same level of difficulty (read: too easy), so instead of being more engaged or interested I just got more annoyed with the class and less interested in school in general.

I know this is 5 years after you've made this video but thank you so much!!
I've wanted to attend this art school I'm in for a while. It's based in SF California and I cannot afford to live there so I take online classes. This helps me more than thinking I'm just not motivated or thinking I have ADHD or something else. I keep thinking to myself that if only I were attending the classes there I'd be more engaged, and wouldn't get fidgety and hardly go along with the work. I keep making the excuse that if I were in class I wouldn't be so distracted by the things around me. This has helped me to change my perspective, I can still do the coursework but if I feel fidgety I can go above and beyond to challenge myself while doing the work I need and learn in my own way. Thank you so much! I love all of your videos and I look forward to more!

This. Exactly. I actually switched between a couple universities and programs (feeling bored at each) before realizing that it wasn't them, it was me. And I needed to have a bunch of challenging projects on the go in order to stay engaged and content. You got this Javier!

Notice he didn’t clarify what questions he is asking. “Why did you use that equation?” is very different from “we did the collision with model cars, but how do we know if the results will be the same if we’d used squirrels instead? I’m just saying, I’d like to borrow your track and I promise to clean up any squirrel droppings that get on it.”

In my high school physics class the main reason why students are disruptive seems to be because my high school doesn't require all students to complete algebra3/college algebra prior to taking the class and many of the students needed the extra practice to grasp the math that our teacher expects all students to have mastered, and since literally the entire class had only completed algebra2 prior to taking the class it was set at a pace that was faster than roughly 75% of the class could learn leading to frustration.

I am very glad about the teachers, who gave me the extra stimulation I needed, upset about those who took it away from me (after 2 months or so it wouldn't be the textbook anymore but other subjects homework ( not having anything subject related jet) and books) but fell there was to much focus on individual teachers dealing with non conform students (be it over or under achieving).

Hey that happened to me only with math, problem was though the teacher didn't understand the content I was doing and the book was around 90% problems so they couldn't help me so I made up my own ways of solving the problems that only served to confuse my later teachers when they came to mark my work.
I wish it had happened earlier in my life.

Im in a special class in english and i was turning in my work on time and getting all A so i could move out of that class but i got bored of dueing it for 4 months and i was still in there so i stopped and also about this time i wasnt handing in my science work because if it was unfinnished i wouldnt let it be graded and i didnt do any work at home because my mother always stressed me so then the teacher got mad at the class and gave every one a 0 and she requested me to be put in a slower class witch is shocking because i love science i wanna be an astonomer, botanist ect so my english teacher took this as an example and she said no to moving me up so now im stuck in this stressful environment in class the students dont do there work at all expet the one girl and she just moved up and i also half to deal with my mother

Niice! I had to change schools whan I was around 8 yo because of that... I would always interupt the teacher and ask a thousand questions... Yeah I was inconvinient :X
I still remember that I was done when the teacher refused to explain how 2*2 was equal to 4 and 2+2 also was 4, so 2*2 is the same of 2+2 wasnt it? She really did nota want me to mix sums with multiplications bit I was just beggining to use logic #childtrauma

I used to just stare out of the window in most lessons because I was bored, the teachers would ask me what they were just saying and I would repeat what they had said and they seemed disappointed that I was listening even though it was boring.
I got 90% in science tests they said I would have got 100% If I had bothered to do the the written work and homework.
