It's great for what it is. A band arrangement of a pop song. Sometimes it takes a song like this to keep young kids interested. Something they relate to. Throw one of these in with some jazz classics and the kids get a well rounded feel for different kinds of music.

I didn't like that Gmi6 at the end at all. It just sounds wrong considering the song kept a diatonic chord progression without anything jazzy extentions up until that point. That's just my opinion. Otherwise it's a great arrangement.

You're not gonna find a lot of clarinet featured in Reggaetón, sorry. As for there being no clarinet in jazz band... go listen to Benny Goodman and get back to me. The thing is, it's not commonly featured... and when it is, it's often a saxophone doubling -- as they do with flute.

According to who? Do you think latin jazz isn't jazz? At what point do you draw the line? Salsa was literally invented to be a combination of jazz horns and Afro-Cuban rhythms. That transitions to many other tropical forms, such as Timba, Merengue, Cumbia, and yes... even Reggaetón. Sure, they don't necessarily sound like big band swing, but there's a lot of "jazz" that doesn't sound like jazz. And if "contemporary jazz" can be called jazz... this can too.
