I honestly thought the .5g bait would be impossible to cast any distance at all but was surprised when the ASC actually flung it out about 10ft without changing anything so figured I'd actually give it a go at re adjusting it... Usually you'd increase the brakes when going down in weight say from 6g to 2g but from around 4g average I had to loosen everything up so the little half a trout magnet could generate more spool speed.. I had it right on the edge... If I had to try to get even a bit more distance I'd have to loosen the magnets one more click but probably have to play with tightening the spool tension back just a touch...I was happy with 20ft though
Maybe now you will be a bit more of a fan of Trout Magnets. They really can catch the tiny panfish on BFS gear when nothing else will work. Remember when you hated the CU Double and later decided that it was darn good? Perhaps this is a similar experience. You just caught more fish in 10 minutes than TRT has caught in a lifetime... Pretty darn cool video!

Cu double comes to mind first because it's capable and affordable but the KastKing Zephyr or Teton rods are great options also...it also goes well with either of the lurestar Streamer rods

No I haven't been paying attention to anything coming down the line...
what rod do you recommend pairing with the dark wolf ultra? mostly want to be able to cast the lighter end to middle BFS lures
