- Romance is in the air, and also, on the red carpet. This fashion edition kicks of Wedding Week with Bridal red carpet looks from celebrities including Uma Thurman, Kate Hudson, Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, Priyanka Chopra and more! Wedding dresses and bridal vibes have been a statement on red carpets for decades but they are surprisingly difficult to get right. They cannot look too wedding-ready but they shouldn't lose the character of the dress either. This delicate balance has been very successfully found with just a few of the dresses in today's video, most were big misses.

Guess I prefer a more traditional wedding look because the idea of a wedding pantsuit as a wedding looking makes me cringe.

I like the idea of pants, but those pants were NOT flattering or elegant.
On Say Yes to The Dress (Lancashire) I saw Gok Wan design a white trouser suit for an older biker lady. It was gorgeous, and she looked the Bee's knees.
It screams lesbian wedding to me.
I want to see a video comparing wedding dresses that actresses wore for their characters vs what they wore for their actual wedding.
People can get mad at me all they want, BUT IMA keep it ALL THE WAY 💯🙄, AND SAY IT, BEYONCE'S DRESSES WERE HORRIFICALLY MADE,&WORN!!! ABSOLUTELY BLAHHHHHHH

Nonr of these come anywhere near Princess Catherine wearing the Jenny Packham cape bridal gown to the State Dinner for the South African president. And having the Lovers' Knot Tiara to top it off, was absolutely priceless. Unbeatable.
Imo, Jennifer Lawrence's dress would suit a very casual beach wedding with a hippy vibe where the bride wears some flowers in her hair and everyone is barefoot.
I thought nearly the same thing! Very "boho/hippy" ...beautiful in its niche, but not on the red carpet!

I loved Uma Thurman’s dress! The scarf added sheer softness that echoed the neckline of the dress before escaping off the shoulder. The fabric may also be incorporated in the body of the dress, giving the scarf more connection in the design, but that’s difficult to see in the photo.
There’s something going on at her right hip I’m not too sure about though…

Can't believe Beebs gave the dress 5 stars!! I thought it looked horrible..... Some of her 5 star ratings are extremely questionable. I really liked the dress Cameron Diaz wore and was only rated 2 1/2 stars. But that monstrosity Serena wore was 5 stars? Seriously?
Sarah Jessica always wears too much eye makeup. I don't think she realizes how small it makes her eyes.
In one photo she looks like the photos the Victorians used to have taken after a loved one died, because studio portraits were expensive and they wanted something to remember how the person looked.

I think the best she has ever looked is some of her costumes for the Renaissance tour. I never thought Beyoncé was much of a dresser. I think she gets away with it because she’s really beautiful.

Her Mother is a clothing designer and, in the past, made a large number of Destiny's Child and Beyonce's clothing. Maybe she thinks she doesn't need one? But I don't agree - her style needs refining.

I thought Serena Williams looked trashy in that dress that you thought was so pretty, Beebs. My favorite was the simple column dress that Sophia V. wore.
I dislike mermaid dresses. But on Sofía Vergara, it’s honestly my favorite! Her perfect figure and that cut are stunning together.

Lady Gaga and Zendya were my favourite of this list...they both looked stunning! I must say although you had it up there as a win, I wasn't so taken with Serena Williams' dress. The lace looked too much like a cheap doily. Kate Hudson deserves an honourable mention...the fit of that dress was perfection on her figure. Thank you for such a fun video Beebs! 🥰🥰🥰
Sofia V’s mermaid dress appears to have detailing on the torso which probably has more impact in person.

@user-zr9nl2wl3o And Meghan Markle pretty much downgrades every item she wears. I realize it brings free press to the designer, but they must just be sick about how their designs look on her.
SJP's Vera Wang dress looks lovely from the back with the low V, but those sleeves are disastrous. The cut out and sagginess makes like look more like over-sized over-long opera gloves.
It would've been beautiful if the sleeves had been removed.
@@sharonalbanese8084 Absolutely-it would have been gorgeous. I don't know why designers seem to want to throw in some "edgy" or "unique" twist that do nothing but ruin a dress that would otherwise have been timelessly elegant.
Working in bridal for longer than I’d care to admit- not because I don’t love it, but because it shows my age lol:
1) we refer to SJPs opening on the sleeve as a ‘shiver shoulder’.
2) I do not care what’s ‘trending’ in bridal, it’s not making bridal pantsuits happen.
3) Most brides want something timeless, not trendy. Maybe a second or third ceremony (although I think after 2, maybe time to admit you aren’t so good at the whole marriage thing?)
4) What we’re seeing trending now (in the Midwest) is all over delicate lace patterns with little/no glitter underlayment or sparkle. Tiered skirting is back with a bang. Square necklines are really picking up. Cats eye strapless.
5) Big/poofy is really out, super glittery/sparkly is out. Unless you desperately need to harness the girls, wide shoulder straps are out.
6) Removable sleeves. Girls now have figured out that’s a solid way to have a 2-in-1 look, and attached tight sleeves are limiting in movement- cool in pics, but after 12-14 hours most brides would tear them with their teeth if they could.
6) Classic, elegant, simple is always in style. Satin, mikado, crepe, etc. a-line or fitted, there’s always a market for classic and that’s really on point this season.
7) colors are super popular. Not anything insane but soft underlayment tones with a few tulle layer over really washes down the underlayment colors. Black has picked up considerably- especially September-October ceremonies.
I realize I’m located in flyover country, and we do sometimes see certain trends filter down, but not in bold ways. Most brides want to wear something comfortable (as comfy as you can be in a wedding dress, anyway) and look back in ten years without a bad case of cringe. I love the industry I am a small part of, but these designers and their nonsense rarely pan out to anything notable for us.
Love your channel, and your thoughts on looks are usually right there with what most of us are thinking.
I love hearing about wedding trends in other parts of the world.
I’m in Scotland, UK, and there seems to be a movement to more simple and practical wedding dresses here, as well as smaller, diy weddings that are more affordable.
Wedding dress skirts seem to be more fitted rather than full, 1. Because it’s always windy here and no bride wants to wrestle the wind in what quickly becomes a parachute lol, and 2. It’s much easier to dance the night away at the traditional Scottish Ceilidh reception without wrestling with fabric.
Strapless and sleeveless have always been popular here, mostly again because of our weather, in the summer the temperature can be anything from 64 degrees F one day to 90 degrees F the next. Our reception venues tend to be old buildings that retain heat, so keeping cool is always a struggle for most brides (and the guys in their full woollen kilts too!). It’s always best to go sleeveless with a dress and have a fun Shawl or bolero cardigan on hand in case it gets a little chilly, or you don’t like your arms in photos. Lol

Uma Thurman’s, Sofia Vergara’s column dress, were lovely. Jennifer Lawrence looked like she was wearing a honeymoon nightie. Blake’s would be awesome and retro if there was no see through material at the bottom and it were just a bridal mini dress - perhaps a little longer.

I have never been a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker's style,it is like she is trying too hard to be the most fashionable.
In general, not a fan of white dresses. Very few women look good in white.
A few of these dresses are nice, but the rest of them are ugly, ugly, ugly.

I have to say, that I couldn't agree with you more.
I did not like the Beyoncé pant thing. It seemed too disconnected from top to bottom, like they cut the top off a wedding dress and attached it to pants. I don’t mind the trend but the pants were too plain.
That dress make Jessica Biel look frumpy. Also, the shoes are not flattering.
The shoes really bugged me. They looked messy and a bad focal point.
I noticed the ole crazy toe sticking out. I've tried to wear cute shoes that gave me a crazy toe. Very uncomfortable.

Zendaya's tulle dress would have been pretty if it were not for the yellowish color in some areas. Maybe it was the lighting, but looked dirty to me. On the other hand, I thought the silver on Cameron Diaz' dress was beautiful. This was a fun video to watch. Thanks, Beebs!

I think Beyonce's double split skirt looks like it is two size too small and the slit opening is strained.
I'm disappointed more often than not in what she wears.
I already forgot who was wearing the dress with the chiffon piece of fabric near the neckline, I chuckled when the picture came up on the screen because it looked like toilet paper got hooked on her dress and no one noticed in time.

Sorry Beebs, but I have to disagree regarding Beyonce's pant suit. She appeared horribly bottom heavy and the veil was ludicrous with the look.

Kate Hudson wearing Marchesa. The bust detail does look unusual, similar to feathers or tissues, but I like the look, nonetheless. Also like Jessica Chastain wearing Givenchy. Sofia Vergara looked best in the column dress. Priyanka Chopra wearing Georges Hobeika looks stunning!
In my opinion, the problem with Rooney Mara's gown was not the neckband; it was the weird belly cutout. The neckband made perfect sense with a continuous button band down the front.
On the other hand, I would have given Uma Thurman's gown a 4.5
Beyoncé's gown with the double thigh slits was a horror. One star only. The pantsuit, 2 at most. The third dress, half a star.

I hoping that as "Feud: Truman vs The Swans" is being publicized, you do a review of the absolutely gorgeous clothes and style of the show and the era.
I thought Sofia Vergara’s figure was stunning in the mermaid dress, so few people can pull that look off so well. I do agree she needed something like a fuller wavy ponytail hairstyle to mirror the curves in her silhouette, or a necklace or something to add more focus on top.
I actually wasn’t too keen on the bodice of Lady Gaga’s dress. It seemed to pucker out a bit at the bust, like it didn’t fit. Perhaps just a strange camera angle?
Regardless of the dress, how stunning and youthful does Uma Thurman look? I want her secret! Lol

Absolutely love Angelina Jolie’s dress on her, she looked so elegant and it was beautifully fitted - I do agree the hairstyle could have been better. Also loved the fishtail dress- which I’m not usually a fan of but it looked absolutely stunning on her. Lady Gaga looked fabulous too and zendaya looked really cute, it was definitely a dress that someone older wouldn’t have pulled off as well but as she is so young it was a really fun and beautiful take on the “wedding gown “ style dress. Really enjoyed this episode, Thanks Beebs ❤

Beebs Kelley, I consider myself a very honest person and I have to admit when I first started watching you I was judgemental. But I grew up in 80s punk rock Sunset Strip days and I will be the first to admit I am not a fashion girl. But the one thing I do appreciate about fashion is quality in presentation I know that doesn't make sense. But I just saw your video on Meghan Markle and the things you were talking about undergarments and no matter what you wear or what size you are it's wearing what fits your body and the undergarments thing was just amazing. Because I always thought it was always just to squeeze in that extra bit of jiggle. But you made me look at it in a whole different way. And I also look at how you can make an expensive garment look cheap or make a cheap garment look expensive I must apologize because I am a hardcore fan now hardcore fan . You speak and deal in reality. Once I thought about it and after I watched this video I realized think the same way. Of course I don't know as much as you do. But I understand quality. And I think a lot of these people have stylists that are not very good at what they do or are afraid to tell their client no no no no no no no no no no no no. I think Meghan Markle is a narcissist and I think she thinks she knows best. I tried to avoid her and really looking at these little things that could have been avoided you never saw them on Diana and like I said I haven't watched the Royals in a long time but as far as I remember I haven't seen anything like this on Kate. So thank you and yes I am learning that the internet can twist your mind if you don't put a little thought into it. Looking forward to more of your videos with a more open mind. I only wrote on this one I haven't seen this video yet but I really hope you read this so I put it on the latest video I could find.

On Sofia I think I like the colum dress. Maybe it's her pose but the cut of the neckline looks uneven but maybe it's just the angle of how she standing and/or the position of the pohotograh. Angelina Jolie's dress is beautiful.I also agree that I love Serena Williams dress. It's very fancy but both fitted her perfectly and had a lot of perfectly interesting patterning. The Lady Gaga dress was also very beautiful but I'm not sure many women would actually want such a high slit for their wedding dress, maybe slightly higher than a mid thigh length.
