since you have a very power mengsk force, you should challenge yourself to clear the whole map, destroy all enermy bases before laser finish breakingthrough the temple. This makes the mission even more challenging
Anybody wantijg to full clear this place, I highly recommend getting some upgraded Goliath for the attacking force together with a few siege tanks. Leave only 4 siege tanks at most to defend the bottom, then start attacking through the top. Get a planetary too if you want. The top side first because that's where the majority of the production is from, and you can get a base there for more income for more heroes. Due to the insane production, you don't want to slow crawl because it becomes a zero-sum. Instead, you want to punch in yhen back out every now and then. The goliath is good because of the auto repair and it's the only thing that can fight against the air hard and fast at this stage of the game.

no the regular coop tanks are weaker. they don't have orbital or napalm or the lab upgrade that boosts rate of fire per rank.
