Hey there, regarding your inquiry (@8:30 min) about the shape of the connectors. It's probably to let you distinguish just from the feel, which type of connector it has when you pick it up. USB-A rectangular, and USB-C rounded.

Its great when u have multiple devices (personally I have a PC for gaming and Macbook for programming). So I don't need to go around with a hub to connect my wired mouse (g502)

can you turn off the one of the 2 RGBs? i.e. only scrollwheel has RGB
Cam you make the mouse's wheel RGB be different color than what it is on the bottom RGB strip?
Does it have something like hypershift? Hold one button and you can set all the other buttons to secondary triggers
when you charge the mouse does it flash green to indicate fully charged? Also during charging does the RGB stay on red or does it turn off?
When you're scrolling with it, do you accidentally press down on the scroll wheel? I saw another video where they did that so I was curious.

My G703 has incurred a freezing issue and software is having problems with it. It lasted me 2 years. Pretty poor effort from Logitech. So, in the market for a new one. I'm using a aorus m4 mouse I have around for a spare, no software for this mouse lol. So looking at the m3, I like the basic software and the option to use bluetooth 5.1.
I have the keychron C1 retro keyboard with yellow switches and it's great. So hoping their mouses are just as good. Haven't decided yet, but it's in consideration.

Yes you can. Set scroll left and right for any button or the scroll wheel.

Smooth scrolling on a Mac is a PITA. You may need to tweak Apple settings, try a google search.

also how does it perform on clear plexiglass or clear glass? I'm specifically looking for a mouse that'll work great on 1" thick plexiglass surface. My G603 works okay, but it seems sort of sluggish on that surface...I dunno how to be certain that a different mouse will work better...

You say you're a finger grip type of user yet all the mice rounded on the edge of your desk are no fingertip models :) Most of the are claw and some palm grip mice there. How can you fingertip with G Pro or even better - G502X? :)
