I love Wes’s current vest it looks so high quality! Brantley has had the generic looking vest for a while now because I haven’t been able to find the perfect style vest that I wanna spend money on and I’m always self conscious with people thinking he’s fake too😬 so I’m attempting to make his vest by hand! Also wes is doing so good for being so young that’s amazing!!
I’d recommend looking around at local businesses especially ones at a market or such. Im getting my dog a custom vest from a local store. It’s ussually cheaper and better quality
The vest I use was the first one you held up it got that one because it was cheap and the best one I could afford at the moment but I’m trying to get one like the third one you held up but for right we use the one we could afford
Yes!! Always label your SDIT’s as IN TRAINING if they are! I always did with mine, she’s now fully trained so she’s labeled as either plain SERVICE DOG or TASK TRAINED SERVICE DOG. How ever, I do miss the IN TRAINING patches just a whittle bit🥺
@@ashyahsawyer9576 It depends on what your state allows, I live in TX and these laws say you have to have a professional SD trainer with you when you go out, but they don’t hold that accountable so law also says as long as it’s a training outing you may take you SDIT out. Look at your laws in your state/city. There all different everywhere but look at yours
On the bandanas I make them. They either attach around the neck or the collar goes through it and I do embroidery on them like sdit in training/do not pet/ do not distract. It's fun. I do paracord stuff too like multi hook leash that has 1ft d rings to shorten or lengthen leash. The leashes are about 5 to 6 ft long. I find it relaxing
Wesley the Service Doodle no I don't I'm afraid. I have a wrist disability so it's more of therapy to keep my wrist and thumb from freezing/locking up permanently. I can't make a lot to sell and it takes me a while to make them. Especially the embroidery because I do it by hand. And I don't do custom because it would take me a month and I won't make someone wait that long. They're pretty much gifts at this point.
I would love to see a supply haul and/or treat descriptions. Great vlog. I'd also love to see an update on how you and Wesley are doing! It's been a while!
I have a purple service dog vest from Amazon and I'm with you on the I dont want people to think it's fake. I'm traveling with my SD this weekend and the custom vest I ordered got delayed so now she has to wear her generic one. But I must say the SD vest from Amazon that I got is such great quality and minimalistic that it's hard to pass up 😂
My ES/SDIT is about to start training. I’ve been working on him since I got him almost 3 weeks ago. He has improved so much! I love this haul! 😭😭 I have the first vest you got so I’m kinda salty damn lol
It can be used for forward momemtum if you have a dog cleared for mobility or for something like grounding (during a psych episode or other episode) it can also be used for guiding if someone is not visually impaired and doesnt need something rigid
I only have the “fake service dog vest” soon I’ll hopefully get a nice vest I do have a couple patches on it and two little backpacks on the side so it doesn’t look as normal fake service dogs would look. I haven’t had any problems with public harassment yet but I’m scared because they probably think I have a non trained sd
Do you have to do a test or something when Wes is finished is training to say that he is just a SD ( they are always in traing really arent they though?) And no longer a SDIT? Sending much love😁 your gear is so cool!
Nina H Thank you so much!! Many teams take the Canine Good Citizen Test and/or a Public Access Test usually given by their trainers to deem them ready to graduate from “SDIT” but these are NOT required. Many amazing teams have not taken these but their dogs are still the best I’ve seen. A dog is considered fully trained when they are basically perfect in public and know all or most of their task work! Usually takes 1-2 years :)
Haha I got all excited for the vest part, until you held up your first vest and said you didn't like it because fakes used it, then realized it is the same vest Sarge uses only his is red. It was just the one that we could afford.
I have the same vest her second one is actually the one most fakes use because when someone sees a red vest they think service dog. So what are fake service dog websites gonna sell? Red service vests
That’s how I felt when I was picking a service dog best I realised the fake service dogs are usually wearing that amazon vest so I was to self conscious to get it
It sucks that fakes wear those vests, but you don’t need to be self conscious of the vest. I’d just tell people the laws and show them how much you know about service dogs. Also, after seeing how well behaved Wes is, you may not have problems at all.
Hi if your still looking idk what one she got hers from but I found a good website it’s called cci.org and it’s based in America but from what I can tell world wide and completely free of charge I’m getting mine from their but the only thing is they only train retrievers and labs or mixes of the two
Viviana Saenz He is a multipurpose service dog - he is medical alert and response for cardiac conditions and medical alert and response for psychiatric reasons!
Wesley the Service Doodle Ah ok 😘 someone once told me to never put the license on kuss it would get lost or stolen and no one I know has it on their dogs ..🤷🏼♀️
That was kinda disappointing to say the first vest is what fakes wear my service dog is 100% real and she wears that vest it's just a nice classic service dog vest its not the vest that makes a dog a service dog
FYI..."In Traing" SDs do not have the same access rights as trained service dogs. (Check ADA) So if asked to leave, you should not argue, and comply with their request.
Heidi Willard I never said all states allow sdit. I said look at state laws to see if sdit are allowed. As in has same access rights as sd do. Then I stated that NY state allows sdit and amhit full access which I know for a fact because my sister's blind daughter has an sd, lives in NY state, and did full sdit training in public. Here's the sd/sdit laws and regulations for NY state. servicedogcentral.org/content/node/32.

That would be so cool if you made your own! It would be unique to you. :) And thank you so much! He's a hard worker haha
if u want a cheap vest that is good quality go on wish. I bought my SDIT a vest from there and it is sturdy material that will last.
I’d recommend looking around at local businesses especially ones at a market or such. Im getting my dog a custom vest from a local store. It’s ussually cheaper and better quality
That dog has more "tops" than I do! 😄
Thanks for including the product links in the description, I appreciate it!
CheshireKat haha same
I checked out The Atomic Hound and they have some really awesome stuff. I'll have to start saving up and do a massive shopping spree. :")
Got7 BTS I’m actually obsessed with all her gear😂
Oh wow that’s a ton! Wes is so stylish! I love making my dog, Sophie, a bunch of bandanas haha! Have a wonderful day and rest of the week!
Thank you so much! I want him to look good!
I would love to see a grooming video! Similar to the ones Claire and PP have made in the past! And like your college SD dorm set up!
Nina H These are great requests! I’ll add them to my list :)
The vest I use was the first one you held up it got that one because it was cheap and the best one I could afford at the moment but I’m trying to get one like the third one you held up but for right we use the one we could afford
I’m also obsessed with buying different gear 😂✌🏻
Cant you not take them in public if theyre in training? Just a question i e began the process of getting a service dog

I’m going to be just as obsessed :) love this video!! Thanks for sharing where to get stuff!
Of course! Thank you so much for watching!

that first vest... takes me back awww so proud of how far you guys have come!!!
nonya bidness I just got your username

My SDiT is a doodle too but she's a major baby haha. She's just started training so I am so excited that I found your channel!!
Maria KG Doodles are the best! Good luck!
Mia Guido how’s it going?
I want to get a vest that says definitely not a service dog but still training!
Can you bring your service dog to College if they are still in training?
We LOVE all the stuff too!!
We are in the process of training our american bully puppy to be a service dog
I have the same leash that you showed at first
My ES/SDIT is about to start training. I’ve been working on him since I got him almost 3 weeks ago. He has improved so much! I love this haul! 😭😭 I have the first vest you got so I’m kinda salty damn lol
Tomipeace13 what is an ES?
Anna and Sophie the Service Dog I meant ESA. He's a SDIT/medical alert dog in training now 😭😭
This may sound like a dumb question but what's the purpose of a pull strap??
It can be used for forward momemtum if you have a dog cleared for mobility or for something like grounding (during a psych episode or other episode) it can also be used for guiding if someone is not visually impaired and doesnt need something rigid

How long do you use the correction collar? I’m training my lab for mobility training. I don’t want to use it long term.
LMAO i use the f***ing patch for my high school

BOHOBUTTERFLIES The vest itself is amazing! I personally just did not like the attention it got. It’s beautiful and durable though!

Hi! Are you willing to trade or sell any of your in training gear? Maybe it he's grown out of anything I'd love to trade or buy it for my SDiT puppy!
Where did u get the vest and stuff from
We’re did u get ur dog from?

Yes it was!

I didn't say only fakes use them! They are great vests, I just get self-conscious about them personally.
Wesley the Service Doodle oh sorry a lot I thought you said only fakes use them and I have a English bulldog SD is that a good idea
These vests are great for sdit's because they're always growing and the vests are decent.
I feel like i need to make one of these videos...
You should! I'd love to watch!
Wesley the Service Doodle maybe when I make my move into my new home
Is it weird to put a pink vest on a boy dog
May and Winston no
What breed is he
FYI..."In Traing" SDs do not have the same access rights as trained service dogs. (Check ADA) So if asked to leave, you should not argue, and comply with their request.
Actually they do in the state I live in. Under our state laws, SDiT's have the same public access rights as fully trained dogs.
Yup look at state laws. In NY state all sdit and smhit (service mini horse in training) has full public access.
Heidi Willard I never said all states allow sdit. I said look at state laws to see if sdit are allowed. As in has same access rights as sd do.
