the problem with Buddy in Sac was him not hustling once he got paid. I know he had issues with Walton (which was the worst coaching hire ever) and once he got benched he became too one demotionial unlike Bogy (Bogdanovic) who could shot and pass. Pair that with bad playmaking, bad ball-handling and bad defense....which made him a throw-in with the Sabonis trade to get rid of that bad contract. This is why Indiana is not extending him and also of course because he is on a different timeline......why would they let him go if he is so valuable?
Pacers can’t pay him what he will get on the open market.

Pacers are letting him go because they want their younger players to develop and become a core. Buddy is 30, he was NEVER I their long term plans. Mathurin is going to take his place at SG. Nembhard is also good enough to deserve big minutes. Couple that with Brown and TJ McConnell, it is a logjam in the backcourt.

Buddy is very underrated. He can definitely create shots for himself, he’s just been in offenses where he was more so asked to play off ball because he’s been paired with ball dominant guards. His full game hasn’t been displayed yet

Yes he can shoot but that’s pretty much it. He doesn’t play defense like at ALL!!! He should feel embarrassed for his defense or lack thereof. And he’s literally the last player on your team you want to have the ball in his hands late in a close game. He turns into butterfingers or has major judgment lapse. I’m so glad the Kings got rid of him when they had the chance. You might get an elite shooter but at what cost? And shooting is all buddy is good at 😂 I do miss having Tyrese on our team tho. 😢 he’s a top tier pg in the nba and a great pick by Monte McNair.

Buddy hield plays like a dumpster as a kings fan dude is super predictable. Everyone knows he’s going to shoot a 3 and sure he’s pretty good at it but his all around game is garbage.
Exactly. For a player his size he should have a lot more in his bag but nope. I'd take a wing sized player as a 3pt specialist just because they can do more with their size even with a low IQ. Plenty of guards that can shoot very well but I'd rather take a guard who doesn't shoot as well but can do everything else. Ala Austin Reeves
