The sriracha shortage was entirely generated by the new management. They thought they could save money by breaking their contract with their old pepper supplier and getting new suppliers. It turns out that it is not so easy to grow peppers on an industrial scale, and they cannot source enough peppers.
I would love a Sriracha dupe taste test to find a good alternative. Also I love the new crispy noodle snack. It's a thai style flavor. It's missing a fish/shrimp undertones because it's vegetarian.
i love the chili onion crunch on their chicken gyoza potstickers! ill used the pan fry/steam method and then add some chili onion crunch to a small sauce bowl with a little bit of soy sauce and dip the potstickers in it. a lot of people also love putting it on eggs! that was really popular about a year ago(frying eggs in it)
that sweet and savory snack product you put back was actually very good. I tried it yesterday. I grew up eating something similar. highly recommended. I appreciate the reviews you did on the other products. thanks!
Great job! Thank you. I love the pork dumplings and just ate a bag in the last few days. I soak in water for 10 minutes or more, microwave for 1:39 and then put some veg. oil in a pan and fry them. I just drip a little light soy on them while they are frying for sauce taste and sometimes chop up some frozen scallions to throw on top if I'm feeling a little fancy.

I noticed the Sriracha shortage happening about 6 months ago, I went on eBay and secured about six bottles in hopes of getting myself through the worst of it. I just went and looked and you can get a 28 oz bottle for about $13 right now, which is expensive, but not outrageous if you're really jonesing for it (like I would be if I didn't have my super secret supply) 😅💕
@TJ I enjoy watching your food haul videos, cause they give me ideas for customizing dishes. Even tho I am in Canada..and we don't have similar stores. Sinec I manage gout, diabetes type 2 and a heart issue..I have to be careful in what I make for meals. Something caught my attention in this video tho..peanut butter and curry..I've made a peanut butter noodle dish and added some gochujang and turned out okay. Now I am curious to fuse peanut butter and some thai yellow curry paste and see how that turns out. Keep up the great work!! ❤from Canada!

I’ve had the pad Thai it just ok! Never knew Costco had that! I want to try the rice noodles 😊love chili onion crunch on pizza , pasta avocado toast! But I also love the Korean chili crisps with the Korean guy in the jar in my Asian dishes! Chili onion more on Italian stuff
I made a version of Japchae at home yesterday. It's so good. I left out the glass noodles because I don't need the starch. I will be eating the rest later when I dogsit.

Hahaha that peanut satay bowl used to come in a takeout looking box and was called Thai peanut noodles. Ate so many of them in high school. I’m now 34. Funny the Japanese market by me has Sriracha ! I’m also thinking those noodles and chili onion are really Mokofuku products but just rebranded for TJ’s 👀

We scored the kimbap in Coralville, IA. Two thumbs up. Very good. The japchea? Not so good. We did get some japchea a few weeks later from Costco that was much better.
Try the Yellowbird Sriracha, better than TJ but ofcourse can’t replace the original. Also, I have tried the chilli oil crunch on everything from an egg topping to noodles, not a fan. I’ll take Lao gan ma anyday.
Every time I got to Trader Joe's, I throw the meditation book "30 Days to Stop Being a Shopaholic" by Harper Daniels in my carry bag...because I overspend like crazy there haha.

I really like the Chili Onion Crunch Oil. I use it for noodles, dumplings (dim sum too), tacos, eggs. I like it with a lot of things.

The Japchae is pretty good for the price. I like to add a little bit of oyster sauce to it because I feel like it needs a little bit of more flavor.
