It is a -9. If you look at the 41-43 section of the fuselage, the windows count 9, space, 5 between the L/R1 and L/R2 doors. On the 787-8 it only has the first 9. Yes the Air France livery is very classy. I do hope they will apply a special decal on this one though, being the 500th 787.
Haha, yeah it's basically a drizzly freezing nightmare now, will be that way until May most likely. We got lucky with this one. I have a video of it going up on it's C1 as well, weather was about the opposite. :D
DullesPlaneSpotter The first two weeks of the month are usually when the most first flight happen. Amongst all 4 widebody models in production we see about 15 B1s a month. 8 777s, 6 787s, and a 767 or a 747. I personally see most of the 777s and some of the 787s do their first flights.
Mohamed 59 little aggressive mate. I like the AMX livery. And we have lots of their new 787-9s here in Seattle right now. I care about both AFR and AMX.
Smooth, was there a break between #1 and #2 take-off rolls? I don't know if it's a policy to wait for the brakes to cool off after that aborted take-off but many pilots take one. Lovely silhouette with that unique nose.
Bobby Paluga Generally, Boeing doesn't wait. The roll is rejected at 80 knots for the first flight so it's not super hard on the brakes in terms of temperature. They can usually just taxi right back and go. If they do get a brake temperature warning they will do a second taxi test and then return to the gate to either let them cool off then do the flight later in the day, or just postpone the flight until the next day.
Joan Domínguez What would be an alternative for you? Which plane of equivalent range, capacity and class will have a consistently more spacious product? We like to complain about the density of a single type plane but it's hardly different from any other.
And their pilots are little crybaby's! Their pilots once said that they wanted to have some of the KLM 787-9's... would be kinda fucked up as KLM is the only part of the AF-KLM group that makes profit! Take take and don't give...what a mentality!
It's great to see the 787 in the Air France livery. Beautiful footage of this great looking aircraft!
Really beautiful livery on this 787-9!
Thierry Sy agreed!
Thierry Sy yes...it's simple, elegant and beautiful..
and no mistaking it for Andy other airline.
Nice aircraft and beautiful livery! love 787...!
Dhiyat Yunan indeed! :D
This looks like a dash 8 version. I love the Air France livery....clean and uncluttered.

Great footage and what a great sound it makes! Nice weather too! I've never visited Seattle when it WASN"T raining! haha

Thank you!
Elegant! Already 500 Dreamliners! I would've guessed around 100. How often do you see a first flight at Paine?

That's very neat! You probably see most of Boeing's customers' liveries because the 777's and 787's are some of the best-selling widebodies.
Thought they didn't make the 767 anymore?!
i love the 767-400ER, but that's probably because it's the prototype kinda model for the 777.
The 767 freighter is being produced currently(mostly for FedEx), but I'm not sure about the passenger variant. The -400er is awesome!
DullesPlaneSpotter Passenger variant is out of production. The remaining 767 frames are FedEx and the KC-46.
nice
United 777-300ER in the backround
que bonitos se ven los aviones de aeromexico
We don't care about the airplanes of Aeromexico, we care about the Air France's 787-9 airplaine, so shut up and thank you

en el fondo se ven los de AEROMEXICO pongan atencion al video

Beautiful airplane!...Looks much better than the A350-900
otra compañía que se apunta al más beneficio menos comodidad para el viajero....no viajes en esa lata de sardinas....dreamliner or nightmareliner?

Planes At Paine the a359 isn't more spacious than the b789?
Victor Hugo Not that I'm aware of.
Why Air France buy Boeing, although there is Airbus Company???
Because there's nothing wrong with a good mix, the AF-KLM group has also ordered quite some a350's.
KLM will be getting them around 2019/2020.
The AF logo couldn't get any bigger....
Air France has one of the most boring liveries in the business.
And their pilots are little crybaby's!

I think the opposite. Air France has quite likely the most elegant, simple, classy and beautiful livery in the business.
