He is a great sportsman ! In 2012 January in Hungarian Open I request an autograph from him to an acrobatic topspining picture of him .He said me " it's cool !!! "Then I asked him do you have enough t-shirt ? He just smiled....since then I put that dedicated picture in frame and hung up on my wall ,as a great souvenir .
The amount of time they dedicate to their sport is insane, why can't they celebrate it? I put my heart and endless days of sweat of hardwork into wrestling and when I win a match I get a rush, the payoff of all your hard work is the best feeling in life why scrutinize someone for enjoying the success they worked hard for?

Zhang Jike is the embodiment of great effort, and even sacrifice in training.

To understand or even appreciate his emotional outbursts, you'd have to realize that he has gone through a lot for his relatively young age. He was considered a black sheep in the national team (see the tatoo on his back?) and once got sent back to his hometown team for disciplinary purpose. He desperately needed to prove himself and the championships probably made him feel vindicated in the end...

What's wrong with it? He is the fourth male player in the history of table tennis to achieve a career Grand Slam (2011) after Jan Ove Waldner (in 1992), Liu Guoliang (in 1999), and Kong Linghui (in 2000) and before Ma Long (in 2016).
And he is also the fastest, he used only 445 days to get Grand Slam.

He is both, a champion and he shows emotions, that makes him human. I like him more than Wang Hao, Ma Lin and Wang Liquin.
He's young at those times (if I'm not mistaken). What were you doing when you were in your 20s? Getting wasted in parties and all that irresponsible shit. He's fighting for his country in his 20s. He's been trained since he was 5. Chinese players pretty much sacrifice their childhood for this.

But what I like about Ma Long is that he is humble and he never goes over the top.

Started playing passionately after watching it in 2008. ZK was very inspiring. But then Ma Long came on and has been ruling since then. ZK was left behind by players like Fan Z, Xu Xin, T Harrimoto... But the GOAT Ma Long could not be over thrown.

i know him a lot. actually, he is a very shy boy when he is not in the match. he is a very nice person, he is very nice to everyone, including his opponents. but he can not speak english, so he can not communicate with foreign opponents like timo boll. so it seems like he is not so nice, but that is not the fact.
I didn't like ZJK at first because he defeated WLQ and WH whom I followed. Today I think he has to be the most gifted tt champion the world has ever seen

i trully believe he is the best player ever to play the game...the only other player i see his technique madness is waldner..a match between zhang and waldner both in their prime would be the absolute match....
Both were supreme in their era but ZJK was the better athlete.
In his prime too, ZJK's mental fortitude was extremely strong...like coming back many times from set deficit and taking the match away. The top players in his era were never certain of winning a set when they faced prime ZJK
hes the fastest ive seen and with power too so what if he acts like that its what ping pong is all about. If you dont have it in you then you will never be good like that hes so fast its the energy inside has to be let out its competition is what a lot fo people dont understand. Hes living the game letting it out and having fun its what ping pong is really to use your strength and stamina and use up all your strength. Hes the best now and if he keeps playing that fast i dont think he loose.
