I’ll just put this here for context, Peter had ties with the Bonnano crime family, The restaurant was closed down a year later this episode was released in 2007. Peter was kicked out of the group in 2011( I think ) and was disowned by his family, Peters father Yogi passed away in 2011 aswell. I think the main problem with this restaurant is the parents. They should have had the balls to exclude Peter from the business, but like most parents they had given in to blind love. And they seem to care far less about the daughter as well which is a tragedy.
I'm guessing they were intimidated by Peter....he thrives on being a bully!

I used to date an Italian guy, and I can tell you that his family is EXACTLY like this. They even yell and wave their hands around when they are agreeing with each other. They could be saying "I love you, Nona!" and it would still sound like they were about to kill each other. I went to their house for Christmas and showed up at 10am. The dad met me at the door, and the first thing he said to me was "Red wine or white?" Um, dude, how about breakfast first?

This is one of the few episodes where it’s presented as the food/recipes themselves not being the main issue. Like, he ditched the crab cakes because they were cold but he didn’t make any other complaints about them like he normally would. Every single thing he addressed was pretty much about the running, the organisation, etc
