This is gonna be my first real project. Since COVID I’ve been so bored and anxious with noting to do! Once I get the hang of actually crocheting this is the first thing I’m gonna make.
Once you get an idea for tension and how stitches work (thru practice, dont worry if you don't get it immediately it can take time) you'll eventually be able to do projects without looking at them (or barely). Let the comment thread know if you need help, I'm sure there would be a lot of lovely people who would be happy to lend a hand!
I did mine in a regular yarn, because I'm not comfortable enough to use a fluffy yarn, and used a 3.5mm hook. The body turned out really stocky but I really like it!
Hey I'm using super chunky yarn while starting my 9th row and the shape so far is VERY funny even tho all the stitches are right, did this happen to you?
I have a white and pink blanket yarn that I was looking at and decided they'll be perfect for a strawberry cow and then I get this video in my recommended!!! Perfect 🥰
I just started learning how to crochet today, I used to do a lot of loomigurumi ( basically crochet with rainbow loom) and I struggled for about 30 minutes. I’ve watched some of your crochet tutorials, and they are the ones that helped me the most since I have fluffy yarn. I am coming along with this project really well, I guess a lot of rainbow loom really paid off for the increase, decrease, and all these other terms. Thank you!
this is my first time crocheting, can you do a video going in depth on all the stitches? you just move very quickly it’s so hard to keep up and see if you’re even doing the right stitch
i ordered some yarn like this the other day and this has gotten me even more excited for it to arrive! also love your videos, keep up the amazing work :)
I hate to suggest things while you seem to already be working really hard (I love your tutorials, seriously free tutorials are gold treause) but you should make a cow tutorial, similar to your giraffe one but cow. Happy crocheting!! Can't wait for part 2 😁
hi, i’m not sure if you still need this info but if you do - for me it only took one skein for each color and i still had a lot of yarn left over on each skein
You follow the same pattern tho :)) also make sure you get way bigger eyes because i made the mistake of getting ones that would work on this size yarn and it made it look super wonky
You could always just chain 4 and slip stitch into the first chain and then work in the center. It looks basically the same as a magic circle but the hole in the center will be a bit bigger even after closing it
I 100% messed up I'm using fluffy yarn and it's so hard to count/see the stitches but imma finish it cause I've already put too much time into it 🤷🏻♀️
@@Pastsunrise Yes! I recommend locking stitch markers to keep track of the stitches. And for fluffy yarn it may be better to take time to investigate each stitch and pull the stitches to view them. There are many fluffy yarn tips and tutorials online so I recommend re-searching them!
Hi! I have a question and I can’t seem to find the answer. I work with the same type of yarn, but when I crochet with it, it starts to “bubble” on the outside. Some stitches are higher out and it looks super ugly. I already started working a little tighter but sadly enough it didn’t fix it. I’m working on a dinosaur so I would love some tips or solutions from y’all! I’ve been crocheting for a long time but never with this type of yarn😅
How come my body looks like a sock and yours looks like an actual squish-mallow? I followed your tutorial up to the 9 rows of sc and mine just looks like a little white sock.. any tips?
u shld prob watch some tutorials on how to do the different stitches before watching this vid. cos this vid is only the pattern, it's not a tutorial :)
I’m Stuck on round 2 😂😂💀 repeat what 6 times ? The single crochet or the increase or both I’m soo confused 😥 and yes I know the terminology but I’m still learning how to put it all together
If you're a beginner I suggest you learn the basics, If not and still can’t understand what she’s going or she’s going way too fast you always have the written pattern :)
For someone starting to learn how to crochet, your going pretty fast it’s hard to see what you’re doing and keep up. I even turned the speed all the way down and you were still going to fast…lol
Just the texture is different and the size as well, if you used a bigger yarn you’ll get a bigger plushie. Yea overall the visual depends on what yarn you use, chunky or fluffy, etc.
Dang video is to fast and not close enough to see what your doing Her voice is clear tho and she typed the step in the corner but I’d like to see closer
I think this is tiktok, I don’t think she had much time to go super slow. Plus there’s two parts so yeah she probably ran out of time. Anyways a tip is to go much slower and practice! There are super slow seperate videos by other people for each abbreviation, stitch, technique, and pretty much everything for complete beginners. I recommend looking up those
So umm your video litterally says this is for beginners but yet you're going to dang fast no one who is a beginner can keep up! Please make tutorials usable ! Because this just leaves many people feeling frustrated and lost
Dude your video is way too fast to follow. Try going step by step bc this is the only video I've found for a plush cow that wasn't a short or without arms and legs. I'm disappointed that I have to slow down your video even then can't see how you're doing steps.
This is gonna be my first real project. Since COVID I’ve been so bored and anxious with noting to do! Once I get the hang of actually crocheting this is the first thing I’m gonna make.

I’ve been making ALL sorts of cow patterns. Like, every single cow pattern I can find. So thank you for feeding my not too healthy obsession.
Lol same 😂❤

That’s what I’m doing now!
Hey how many rows of single crochet did u do? Pls tell me fast
I made this in the huuge yarn they sell at hobby lobby and its ginormous and i love it so much! this is a great pattern!
Hey I'm using super chunky yarn while starting my 9th row and the shape so far is VERY funny even tho all the stitches are right, did this happen to you?
im using the same type of yarn from hobby lobby!! how much yarn did it take?
This is great it has everything I need to have and know! It’s also so clear with what you have to do!

i can’t do this i’m crying and throwing up

OMG!! Thankssssss, I was searching this pattern for months 💙
If you cant do this after all your attempts it’s ok
Thank you. I just attempted my first squishy cow for a friend, but in white and pink. She loved it!
i'm working on the same thing rn!!
@@cassidy3294 same!
What color did you make the snout? I made the main body white so idk if it will blend in to much

I absolutely loved this pattern so cute and very easy to follow 😊🐮
dont mind me just doing a checkpoint
4:56- round 15, 6mm
6:43- just marking where i left off
I love all your tutorials!! I’ve made 4 so far!! Cant wait to see what else you bring out 😁
How long did it take for you btw

how many skeins of yarn did you use for the whole thing?
hi, i’m not sure if you still need this info but if you do - for me it only took one skein for each color and i still had a lot of yarn left over on each skein

Hey I have a question could I just change the color and crochet the pattern without doing the spots extra? Thx in advance
Yes, you can! It’s alright to change it, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind :) ik I’m not her though haha
Some people skipped the intro where she explains you need to know how to do the stitches she's doing beforehand. Thats why she's going so fast.
Hi ive been looking to order some wool like this but for i cant seen to find ANY brown or beige colours is there a reason?
I’m having trouble sourcing yarn myself at the moment! The struggle is real 🥺
If you don't have chunky yarn can you use worsted
I doesn't really matter what yarn you use, it just won't be as big or soft
@@maliebuggins6744 ok thanks
Thank you so much for sharing 🥺💖
How would you go about making a really big version of this?
This is a good question because I need a life size version 😂

Does anybody know a squishmellow tutorial that doesnt have a magic ring?
You could always just chain 4 and slip stitch into the first chain and then work in the center. It looks basically the same as a magic circle but the hole in the center will be a bit bigger even after closing it
Can someone explain what she did in round 9 plz !!!
Single crochet all around from round 9-17
Single crochet in every stitch continuously until you reach round 17
Is the pattern still the same if you are using a medium cotton yarn? What size hook should I use?
I 100% messed up I'm using fluffy yarn and it's so hard to count/see the stitches but imma finish it cause I've already put too much time into it 🤷🏻♀️

would i just double the patter to make it bigger?

@@sof8595 thank you so much!
You technically can but it's really complicated and impossible for some patterns
Thanks so much!!!
can i use milk cotton thread
I don't think this pattern is correct. The size of yarn will change the size of the item, not the shape. This makes a weird round short cow.
I thought I was doing something wrong! I went back to add more rounds of single crochet
hi how much yarn did you use for this pattern :)
Most of 1 skein of main colour, less than half a skein of other colours 🙂
does anyone know how to do the inside of the ears the white part
Mine got round so now it’s a ball
what size were the eyes you used? :)
