yes you got the vibe of the song 😊No concert of amk without this song... I read somewhere, that Henning wrote this song at 17 and it was one of amk's first hits, it even won a video price 😅People know this song so well, that you almost can't hear Henning when he plays this on stage
There are only a couple reactions I’ve found of this song and every one of them, including yours, picks up on the fact that it’s a kinda heartbreaking love song. Without even knowing the language, people still pick up on that. And that just blows my mind cause that’s exactly what he’s singing about. The fact that he’s so good at infusing a song with a particular emotion that even non-German speakers can pick up on it is just wild to me
l just called my son (he's 26, I'm 70) and I was telling him how much I love the AMK reaction videos; I love reading the comments from all over the world. It makes me happy; gives me hope.
English is no more than a German dialect with loads of loanwords from the French, Scandinavian and Gaelic languages. That´s why it sounds so familiar to you.
1:42 But there are a lot of similarities between German and English. This video shows some of the similarities: th-cam.com/video/VebSZrHmsI4/w-d-xo.html
My favorite uptempo song from AnnenMayKantereit is Lass es kreisen (Let it spin): th-cam.com/video/J_PCEHjRDtY/w-d-xo.html The song celebrates that people can party together again after the pandemic.
I love that he’s out on the street, all of the ambient sounds give this so much more nuance. The location of their performances add so much..

That is true global talent. Conveying an emotion or message across all languages by connecting to the heart
I ❤ all the AMK reactions. Such a great band. I’m learning German and their songs are making it fun.

You got it!! Barfuß im Klavier means barefoot at the piano, and ich träum' dabei von dir means I’m dreaming of you
