Welcome to the world of 3D printing my friend! I've owned a simpled 3D printer and made 6 different RC trucks so far, it's such a great tool for the hobby!
I ran Ender 3's for about 3 years, and love them...still run them... but, my X1C has so upped my print world. It just works, and fast!!!!! I have failures from time to time, for all the same reasons I have failures on my Enders. But man--o-man do I love my X1C.
Congrats on the partnership Josh!!! Now you can easily make your own scale accessories like tools, tool boxes, boom boxes, floor jacks, signs, rollbars and scale engines now. 👍👍
Welcome. These new bambu printers are amazing. I own a p1s and bambu has made these things as close to a regular household appliance as it can get. I see every house having one of these in the future
All those lines come down to your printer being on a too solid base, where the table does not absordb any momentum of the prin head so those show up in the print. 1 inch thick foam under the printer, on a solid table should help with that possibly. Also the lines are so insignificant that you can probably sand and putty those smooth quite easily :P
Should the setup be run a 2nd time since the X1 has been moved? And after putting some type of damping material below it? So it can calibrate it's new location.
They are a really powerful tool to have and there are free CAD programs out there. I actually use FreeCAD, and I am currently working on a Trinity Eaglebridge self unloading belt trailer. And have managed to design up some replacement parts for a 30+ year old Kyosho monster truck. The best way to learn CAD is just play around in it.
I'm new to 3D printing too and decided to go with the X1C even though Bambu Lab is coming out with a new one in the 1st qtr of 2025. I'm anxious for it to arrive. I heard you mention your wifi Extender is not so reliable. Have you liked into power line adapters? They use your house wiring like ethernet cable. You plug the transmitter into an outlet near your router then plug the receiver in an outlet in your shop. The receivers can be wired, wireless or both.
Theres a great video out there about Calibration before every single print on some printers. Buddy talks about how to do stupid smooth prints. Calibration of the bed.
What did this run you bro? I was just looking at printers yesterday probably gonna buy one just like the one you just got. Have only heard good things about out it. Can’t find anyone that can reliably print me bodies on the regular, at least 2 bodies a week. That’s not asking to much is it.
These are on sale right now for $1199 with the ams system. I’m printing my 5 window coupe bodies in abs in 12 hours. Done 6 this week so far. It’s been so consistent.
As a machinist, I’m used to using master cam and I’m fluent in master camp up until 2024 version. The downfall of master cam is that it’s far too expensive for the average person to purchase… fusion 360 is also too expensive. So I use viacad 3-D.
Good luck on your journey.
Great Video. Very nice setup .

Now you can do everything. I'm so happy to see you progressing in your dreams. Congratulations 🎉👏
Yes Josh, im wanting a 3d printer but dont know anyone that has one. This series will be great for guys like me with no experience.

Im going to have to try it again. Ive realized a lot of what I need isnt too complex.

I haven’t seen that kind in a while. Have to do some reading on them. My shop is basically hooked into the house with a 30amp rv plug. Lol
@RCeveryday as long as it all is connected to the main panel at some point it will work. And you'll get the same bandwidth speeds as if you ran cat 5.
I want to get one. I just worried about learning how to use it. From what I can see they look pretty good
This thing is super easy. I had a friend spend a day with me just explaining what things meant and did, and I’m running on my own already.
First one

Calibration of the bed.
This one does that as well as calibrating the nozzle flow before each print by default
Would you consider offering the coupe body file for sale? I purchased one of your hot rod chassis kits but the shipping to Australia is a killer.
Sorry I can’t offer my files to anyone.
Why is it I’ve seen nothing on Bambu’s tpu for ams on nov 12???
