Love how Anthony Geary gets up like a Boss at the end of 2004-2010 version like, “I’m the veteran in this b****, photoshoot done! 🤣 I was obsessed during ‘93-04. I loved the theme so much, I bought the soundtrack on CD! 😂 Then college/life got in the way lol. Stopped watching after Sonny & Brenda reunited briefly in ‘02 or ‘03. I liked OLTL & AWC, but GH was the best.

2004-2010 will always be the one I connect most to because I love the sequence and the music, but apparently when I was a baby, I would be facing on my stomach in the opposite direction and when I heard the opening chords for the 1993-2004 theme, I would spin a 180 on my stomach and rock back and forth. 😅
For someone who started watching General Hospital in the summer of 1983 the ambulance speeding through the gate will always be the best, when they changed the opening in 1993 the nothing was the same again... I still watch but the good days of General Hospital have long been gone

Miss the iconic smooth jazz 1993-2004 and the upbeat 2004-2010 2010-2012 and loved the 50th anniversary opening.

However there are rumors flying around that ABC will possibly move "General Hospital" to Hulu.
Same here. My grandmother was a CBS soap fan for the most part but after GL went off she flipped to ABC for Oprah and you can hear the closing theme playing and the credits.
i’ve been watching gh since i was 8 years old. now that i’m 20, i still watch this show every single weekday when it’s on. it’s hard to imagine a time where this show wasn’t part of my daily life. my mother has been watching since she was 13 and it’s our little thing we do together. carly and robin have always been my favorites. i love this show so much.
I have loved General Hospital since it started in 1963. I was 4 years old. Later that year when I turned 5, I went to the first day of Kindergarten . Kindergarten was not mandatory back then. When my mom got home from work that day, she asked me if I wanted to go back to Kindergarten the next day. I said no. She asked me why not. I said I wanted to stay home and watch General Hospital and play with my dolls. I got to stay home.
I started learning Piano because of that theme! I begged my parents and they bought me a Piano at age 7. I never did learn to play that theme though lol.
1975-93 and 1993-04 are my favourites, the 1st one reminds me of my childhood. I watched GH in the 80s and in Italy the closing theme has changed many times. I loved this soap especially Laura Spencer missing storyline
I was a soap addict in high school in the 1970s (grew out of it during my college years) so the 1975-93 theme really resonates with me. Even if you weren't a GH fan everybody knew about Luke & Laura!
Ambulance opening is the clear winner. Nothing else is close. It set the show apart from other shows in the day and gives the show urgency and distinctive medical feel. And the closing theme of that one is just tremendous with the full orchestra. Openings after that went steadily downhill. They should have never abandoned the ambulance.

The 1993-2004 was my time, 93-98 to be exact, I would have to walk to my aunt house after school sometimes where she would look after me and she would watch this religiously. Also my mother and her friend, God bless her soul.

I agree no matter how the music changed they shouldve never removed the ambulance. I believe we have Frank Valentini to thank for that lol.
