I was cruising in my Stingray late one night
when an XKE pulled up on the right
and rolled down the window of his shiny new Jag
and challenged me then and there to a drag
I said, "you're on, buddy, my mill's runnin' fine
let's come off the line, now, at Sunset and Vine
I'll go you one better if you've got the nerve
let's race all the way to dead man's curve.
Dead man's curve
Dead man's curve
Won't come back from dead man's curve
The street was deserted late Friday night
we were buggin' each other while we sat out the light
we both popped the clutch when the light turned green
you shoulda heard the whine from my screamin' machine
I flew past LaBrea, Schwab's, and Crescent Heights
and all the Jag could see were my six taillights
he passed me at Doheny then I started to swerve
but I pulled her out and there we were
at Dead man's curve
Well, the last thing I remember, Doc, I started to swerve.
And then I saw the Jag slide into the curve.
I know I'll never forget that horrible sight,
I guess I found out for myself that everyone was right
won't come back from dead man's curve
Dead man's curve, Dead man's curve
Dead man's curve, Dead man's curve
Dead man's curve, Dead man's curve - เพลง
speaking from a strictly musical perspective, Tom and Mark singing together is one of the most purely beautiful things i've ever heard. Mark's lower register meeting with Tom's rather iconic nasal high stuff is GORGEOUS. full, distinct, really great stuff, man. god bless those guys. Blink's the band that got me into music in the first damn place.
Bijinius Cross totally agree, their voices were made for each other... on this song, when they’re singing in the same octave together, it also sounds great. I don’t think they ever did that on a blink song.
Same! Thanks to Tom I play t the guitar and sing bad
@@Kidinthehall182 They did it in Up All Night and if you can hear Mark faintly harmonizing with Tom in All The Small Things and First Date
@@justinTime077 Same!
lol Tom legit sounds like a Beach Boy
I've always said Blink 182 vocally reminded me of the Beach Boys.
sounds so fucking good. mark and tom singing in unison is just such an beautiful sound
Really enjoy this! I'm a big fan of both Blink and Jan and Dean.
It was cool to have Tom and Mark singing together on the verses. It sorta emulates how Jan and others double tracked their vocals a lot in the 60s.
I knew blink were fans of the Beach Boys but I didn't realize they also liked Jan and Dean! This is cool and I wish I found it sooner
OMG, I had some weird imported Buddha demo tape when I was in school and this track was on it! I’ve not heard it in about 15 years, it’s still as good 🤟🏼
i love this cover
Dolores Delano Same here.
Great cover - Jan & Dean were great together - this is a great tribute!!!
it was done for the tv mini series shake rattle n roll
awesome version of this song
i LOVE blink 182
just discovering this now lol. heard J and D as a child and was terrified. now at 40 i see the humor behind the story
Damn, thank you, i was born on surf music.
Wow! Great cover! Damn, damn good, man!
This should show you all that these guys are for real.
love it!
This is great
this is from the scott raynor era not travis barker
Haha why do i love this so damn muchh
A jan and dean tune in 64 and in 66 jan berry actually crash his corvette into the back end of a park truck. These boys here did a remake and it sound very 👍 good
Jan actually wrote the song about Mel Blanc,(the voice of Bugs Bunny)...
wish this was on spotify
Merci Jojo
I absolutely love the sound!!
Pretty good guys
the ending is the best! haha
way too much fun
Very nice fellas
Can't stop laughing at the end of it :D
nice
Hey Naysh! ✌🏼
yeahhhhh
This is so cute
I definitely like this better than the original. :p
wow you have shit taste
Coolbeens, it's working just fine. Lol @ the last part.
Not the beach boys Jan And Dean
Not bad......not bad at all. :-)
If this song was released in 1963, they would’ve given The Beach Boys a run for their money. Beach-182
@samdiego1965. The original by Jan & Dean, released as a single in early 1964, did indeed give the Beach Boys a run for their money-it peaked at #8 on Billboard.
a dead man curve
tom delonge
tom delonge
Travis Barker
wow!!! i love it!!! =]
No way Tom has every played a minor 7th in his life xD
I did this once with a guy when the light turn green we both poped off the cluch when the light turned green but it was in a 55 and we were doing over a100
It's Jan and Dean, not the Beach Boys
Brian was a writer on it.
looks like this was part of a tv show thingy they did, for those of you bitching about their rendition
So Tom is Jan and Mark is Dean? Feels like it should be the other way around.
awesome...but it breaks at 58 sec
what's this song about?
When San Diegans race in LA, everyone loses.
Tom DeLonge.
and Mark
Tom Delonge.
Mark hoppus
I love Tom lol 😂
Mark Hoppus.
Who's singing the high pitched backing vocal harmonies?
It's mark and tom.
I don't know exactly who did what.
I didn’t know this was a cover lol 😂
Can't find this version on itunes
I had this on a Halloween cd. It was more professional than this but still.
hahah they would(:
Tom Delonge
Who was drumming in this song
Scott Raynor
@@joelgracia5129 ohhhh thanks for telling me that cuz I was sure it was Travis
do it again with travis 🥁
I’m not sure this song really suits them that much lol 😂 but I’ve heard way worse bands way better songs this is an interesting one to say the least never heard this song before
im pretty sure this is a parody, but i just cant thing of the song name
This song isn't a parody. It is a rip off of Jan and Dean's "Dead Man's Curve" from 1963.
*cover
+BammerD Do you not know what a cover is?
how can they sell without buying rights?
oh ok saw it in the description
This sounds like Debra jean by the queers
Wow, you're right!
This is good but still nowhere near as good as Jan and Dean singing the original.
East Front amen
Ahhh shut up this shouldn’t even be seriously considered it’s basically a joke
Blink did a pretty good cover, yet it's obvious they didn't grow up with it, or know it that well as they didn't sing all the answer lyrics in the chorus, for heaven's sake! Nothing beats the J&D original hit single for the #1 'splatter platter" of all time! *#2 has to be The Shangri-Las "Leader Of The Pack"
Good but not as good as the original by Jan and Dean!
What the fuck ? what is the song :|
Cucarachota2 cover for a movie they did or had part in. Some made for TV movie about Jan and dean
You nearly murdered this great song. You guys have no heart in it.

This is fantastic, speaking as a musician.
DX a disgrace to the original song, I am disappointed in them, Blink is usually good...
calm down kid
