I was visiting my local herd today.. The lead mare was saying hello and being friendly. I found myself touching her eyes like you often do with your horses. It was a such a sweet moment..

'When I'm creating I'm not consuming much, because I'm very busy creating'. Sing it loud, sing it clear!! Let this be the motto for everyone in 2021.

I noticed that you were quite for a while. That was very informative for people. All horses are different, so it is needed to observe their normal behavior. Good job, Graeme, as usual.

What a great video, thank you for taking the time to share that with all of us. And you are 100%, the horse is an extremely peaceful animal, and this quote came right to mind when you said that; “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” ~ Winston Churchill.
Thanks for the great content, information and the time you take to share it all with us.

I love luke’s beauty and the way Graci wiggles her nose while you scratch her neck. I’m sure also that your facility is very labor intensive as well. Good to see you !

That was a fair amount of information in one large gulp, but interesting as always, plus bonus of horsey check. As long as Lena wants her scratches all's right with her world.and makes mine a little better too, thanks

Hello again Graeme. I think it's great that you took a youtube break, long enough for reflection and renewal, it sounds like. But yes, we are glad to have you back! Your calm, tranquil manner is helpful in these days...
even while sitting in yer big gumboots in a dirty pool :)) A new meditation space? 😁
On your topic of assessing each horse's needs: I remember Ruly pacing constantly by her fence. So that's the reason for her newly spacious paddock? Looks like your plan worked!
And what's your solution for chronic "cribbing"? Would you adjust the feed ? Is there a specific wood treatment used to make the surface less palatable?
Best new year wishes for your family and all the dear critters. Carry on!

Not entirely sure what I'd do for cribbing. I've read that it would not be kind to take away the option to crib actually. Maybe just have one sacrificial spot to crib on

Thanks for the info. I will always enjoy your horses. You getting into their heads is so spot on, more than not. Please get back out there with the horsey checks and chuck 'em out.if you were on i'd watch constantly. So very entertaining. Zue

Oh the logs in the paddocks...the high handed folks would have a fit. I have one that eats branches, one that cribs and one that lacks different things. It's the little things that let's you know they are happy and healthy.

No idea, things are always a bit up in the air with horse stuff and even more lately due to covid.

Twice when Gracie was behind you when you were talking, each time you moved away from her, she tossed her head in that weird way that she does. I think that Ronie is jealous of Gracie and Roo hanging out together. Roni stared at you while you were walking away from him.

I remember seeing a book over 20 years ago about all/most health issues with images and descriptions, I need to look for it.
