They talked to him right after the food part. Did you not watch the whole video before commenting? I do that sometimes.
Was a chef for 20 yrs. A good temp for frying anything is 350-375. regardless of what that fryer recommends don't drop to 300. If the oil isn't hot enough they flour wont crisp for a long time...and when t finally does, the fish will be dry like jerky. The reason your meat got so dark..and tastes so potent is the seasoning was on the outside, the spices get burned and emit a stronger flavor than they would if they were cooked less. It's really awesome to watch you guys trying all the different experiments in the kitchen!! If you want to try it with Straight seasoning again, use that as the first layer...then egg and then flour. Personally I'd double dip in a heavily seasoned flour..but 50% of the fun of cooking is thinking outside the box and finding new ways and recipes that not only work...but are "FIRE".
Now speaking as someone that's been fishing for over 40 yrs, Bullhead meat is a bit softer than sunfish, crappie, walleye, perch, & pike. The best time of the year to have bullhead is from ice-out through May when the water is still cool the meat is firmer and it has a fresher, less fishy taste. Either way...love the vids Keep 'em coming! God Bless

I live up north in Wisconsin and I tend to catch a lot of cats on a sinker hook and nightcrawler or leach in the rivers. Keep up the great content flair.

One of the best baits to use for cat fishing is shad on a circle hook and let them take is completely also let them sit for a while at least more than 15 minutes

Bonzo does the same thing every time he tastes something. He takes half a bite and then his head starts to wag and then he's just so pleased...give it to Bonzo, he'll eat it, he likes everything..lol.
Flair. If you getting lots of bites but no hookups for with smaller bait. My go to catfish rig is kinda like a Texas rig. Use hook about 1ft of line then swivel with to your mainline with weight sliding above swivel on mainline. My go to bait would be night crawlers, cutbait, and live bait. Bigger the bait. Bigger fish your targeting. Hope this helps

Great catfish bait is chunked up chicken breast throw it in a gallon zip lock bag and put a couple packets of black cherry cool aid in and mix it around then ur set throw it on the hook. Also a cool video idea would be what flavor of cool aid catches more catfish although I’ve only used black cherry and it works very well
If you wanna do some good catfishing go at night when the sun is completely down and use hotdogs and circle hooks

Easy way to tell bullhead from channel cats is channel cats have a forked tail, bullheads it is square no fork. Bullheads from clean water taste very good, there used to be a commercial fishery for them like 80-100 years ago in my area.

use cutbait, the rig you should use for it is similar to a carolina rig except put the weight above a swivel about a foot from the hook. it will stay on the bottom but thats what they want, their mouths are on the bottom.
You need a small pond with a few catfish and you can get a little more because your cast radius should be good enough because they stay in the middle of the pond and you’ll catch more

Go to local meat Market and ask for hog shoulder. Cut into small cubes and allow to slightly dry. This technique is used all the time in the spillway where I am under float.

Flair a tip for flatheads is to hook the bullheads through the mouth. You can hook them through one lip or two it doesn’t really matter I always did two lips. And flathead is one of my favorite fish but it depends on how u prepare it. Also if u really want to catch one I recommend putting out a heavy duty pole and fish at 9:00pm to as long as u ran into the night I got a 40 inch flathead a few years ago and a 38 inch this year. I fish on a river btw.
