Hi , I realize I'm 2yrs late to the comment party but this just showed up in my feed. I've made something almost identical to this, using the exact same ingredients (minus mica & flavor), so I definitely understand why it's one of your favorites.
My question is how you get your glycerin to incorporate without separating? I noticed it looked like it was while you were filling the pots, but once cooled I didn't see any separation. I got so frustrated I ended up omitting the glycerin. I've even tried adding a wee bit of emulsifing wax, also without much success. I've scoured the internet to try & find out how to fix this, also without success. I'm stumped. 😞 I'd greatly appreciate any advice you may have to offer.
P.S... I make & donate this for patients at my hospitals cancer clinic & the glycerin would definitely help.

How do you store them? Do you keep them cold in the fridge or in a room temperatured place?
Room temp. The beeswax keeps it firm
You can add Ecosoya Q210 or GW464 so x to various skincare

You can use a pipet to make this easy & faster❤
You can't. The wax will dry to the inside and clog up the pipette.

Yes! You will have to tinker with the recipe slightly to make t just a tad softer, but yes.

You can use both actually

This recipe as shown here doesn't look firm enough to go in a push-up tube. Maybe a squeezable tube... Like for lip gloss??? Just depends on your consistency.

LOL no!!! Hahahah I went back and saw that! That was my tiny piece of the home made mascera that was on my utensils from the project just before. I brushed it over a piece of wool to get an up close image of the texture with my camera. A few pieces of this was all over the table. The fibres got into the glycerine from using the same spoon. If you look close you will see it in 3 or 4 of the oils but one does look buggy!!! I will post the video soon, but my mascera formula isn't ready.

I'm interested in using some of your recipes to tweak for my own use but was wondering if either this recipe or your other lip balm recipe leave a sticky or tacky layer at all?

The two that I use the most (in the recipe Directory names : Cottage Belle and Sweet Lily Marsh both are not super tacky.... One is softer than the other) However, specifically in my recipes you can mitigate this texture my adding more or less lanolin. I love lanolin for lip products so tend to add them, but if you want less tacky and more slip then I would decrease the lanolin and add a bit more coconut oil. Also you can control a bit of the matte feel by adding or subtracting the beeswax too.
@@ThermalMermaid Thank you so much fot the reply. I will re watch your videos and play around with quantities. I do love lanolin for the lips but i dislike that very sticky feel from some balms i have used, i am still unsure what causes that. In hindsight it may have been a different ingredient all together as i don't recall whether it was a balm or anorher lip product. I like whatever ingredient causes the product to stay on the lips though!

I think vaseline is a great choice. I remember a lecture years ago from a cosmetic manufacturer that the beauty industry tried to throw shade on petroleum jelly as a "non natural" or undesirable product back in the 70's, but it was all for the marketing of more expensive products,but petroleum jelly is just as natural as anything else..... and very inexpensive.... and works really good
@@immahater5964 I know! That is that is the correct information that we were raised with for the last 50 years, but this manufacturer said it wasn't true and was a big money manipulation to push another product. I wish I could remember its competitor.

Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear that you are unhappy. Its true that I do work on a number of pages at once and sometimes they get ahead of me. (sigh...the curse of an adhd artist i guess) My site currently has over 400 recipes listed and i am building out pages every single day. This includes over 12 full books published on Amazon that you have instant access to download among the dozens of tutorials and hundreds of hours of work put into it. Recently I have added a feature to the dashboard that says "what's new" so you can see the progress as these pages are fully developed. Some people find this helpful as there are so many modules in the dashboard you could easily miss the updated content as it is being published. Of course, you have complete control over your membership, as you do not need to ask my permission to cancel. This is accessible to you directly from the bottom of your dashboard, and there are no catches or gotchas for canceling at any time. I might recommend joining us over in the facebook group, or posting on the forum because I prioritize the content I update as I hear people ask me for it, meaning as I'm working on my pages I often stop to help others through some of the recipes or edit tutorials to help make them more clear. You could also let me know what you found interesting and I could shuffle this to the top of my list for completion. Whatever you choose, I hope you have terrific success in your artisan work. @@ThermalMermaid I was unhappy to see that most of the bath & body recipes are the Fourth of July bubble bar which was very disappointing and then it's not very clear what level you need in order to access the library so first I paid $1. 99 then I was asked to upgrade $4.99 more so all together 7 $8 that was unexpected and then you have access to the library and see that most of the links go to this Fourth of July recipe which is not what I wanted I'm sorry you're overwhelmed I'm a web designer to I know all about servers and files I don't know when you'll be able to fix these I'm surprised you don't know about it I did ask to join the Facebook group normally I'm not a witch I'm a Gryffindor but I'm not a witch I hope this gets sorted out soon

However, you might be happy to know that the place holder pages are coming along. In fact, 2 of them have been replaced today. Again, please understand that although I maintain several websites this one is very unique. This area is more like my house than my stores. It's personal. It's messy, and I have a lot of projects going on in here because I do make close connections to the people who have joined me and I get a little derailed at requests. I don't think you're a witch at all, I think you are just a person communicating and looking forward to some stuff that is really fun. (I think so too).
