Acorn Archimedes graphics demo disk

The video is of the Acorn Archimedes graphics demo that Acorn used at computer shows and at dealerships. It's from 1987, the year the Acorn Archimedes was launched in the UK. The first range of Archimedes computers used an 8MHz ARM CPU. It had NO GPU or special graphics acceleration hardware to help with rendering/video processing. All the work was done by the ARM CPU. All these programs are written in BBC BASIC which use the OS graphics API to draw 2D primitives.

We've come a long way with graphics compared to games of today. Still, it's very nostalgic of the humble beginnings on the Archie.
