My Son got me some Belgian beers for Father's Day, and I'm just trying a Leffe Tripel, which I have drunk a lot in the past. I'd forgotten how beautifully smooth and sweet it is with the added bitterness of the sediment if you like it, which I do. It takes me back to holidays in Ghent many moons ago when the kids were young, and sitting at the bar of the campsite and drinking 4 large glasses of this before putting the tent up! It is fair to say the next stage didn't go too well, and when we woke up next morning we were really embarrassed about what a mess the tent looked like!!! 😂
This is brewed and Bottled in Hoegaarden. This beer is very similar to Hoegaarden Grand Cru. This would be a great review for a blind tasting/comparison if you could hold of them both.
Never had this Leffe. I’d definitely try it if I came across it, as unlikely as that is. I tend to not purchase AB InBev beers as it makes me physically ill when I realize that I’ve put money in their coffers to further their evil aims.
I remember you saying this one is your favorite Leffe so I picked a few bottles up on my trip to Amsterdam, I’ve not tried it yet, I was lucky enough to get a few glasses too, got a Frankiskaner weissbier glass, a Wieckse witte glass and a lovely la chouffe glass.
Just got myself a leffe glass from a supermarket along with 4 leffe blond beers. I wonder if the leffe glass will improve the overall experience as I did used to drink leffe at the right temperature from a cilindrical glass before. Anyway the glassware from leffe looks awesome.
@@TheBierHooligan I am glad that I was able to get some new glassware this week, got myself a carlsberg glass , a leffe glass and a new beer mug for my collection , but still there is a lot more glassware to collect.
The Bier Hooligan and I have the pleasure of trying for the first time very soon... we recently came back from Belgium where my fondness for beer heightened again. The Mrs and I tried as many as we could but missed this one unfortunately. I’ll return and let you know my thoughts 😉
This one always knocks me right out behind the wheel
This is one fantastic beer.. in my opinion one of the best in the world. Like how you described it

The Bier Hooligan yes everyone was very friendly, I offered to pay for one but they very kindly said I could have one.
