- Bobbie Brown of Warrant's "Cherry Pie" MTV hit video is about to release her new memoir, "Cherry on Top," and she was kind enough to grant me an interview to talk about it (with her loyal sidekick Nupa)! We go over her Baton Rouge upbringing, moving to Los Angeles to become a model, getting noticed by future husband Jani Lane on Star Search, and getting cast in the role that made her an iconic video vixen, marrying in a lavish rock n roll wedding, motherhood, acting, addiction, divorce, her engagement to Tommy Lee of Motley Crue, Ex Wives of Rock, Dirty Rocker Boys, her podcast Bobbie & Sharise's Sweet & Sour Hour, and stand-up comedy! Watch X wives of rock on TH-cam if you haven't seen it, she's a great friend and you hear the story of how she met Sharice Neil, Vince Neil's then wife. He hit on Bobby Brown and instead of feeding into it she went and introduced herself to Sharice and they became close friends. Every woman needs a friend like that.

I’m sorry but those sundaes are ridiculous! It’s obvious that Bobby wants to put it down but prob thinks it would be rude of her to do so. For the lady interviewing her, it’s prob not a good idea for your next interview. It’s obvious the girl is preoccupied with this darn sundae, therefore ruining your show. But Just my opinion.

That's the first thing I thought. I love Bobbie and she's so gracious and going along with it. It was a weird choice for the interviewer to want to do that and eat it while conducting an interview. It puts Bobbie in an awkward position

Yes, Jani was bitter about Grunge, Hell, I"m still bitter about Grunge. It's fine as music on it's own, but it really didn't need to try to replace every other kind of rock. Jani had a point.
@Zhefff Hurrnklle Alternative music was already huge on many radio stations and MTV. 120 Minutes was on the air for the exact same length as Headbangers Ball. The Cure and Depeche Mode were already huge groups selling out Arenas, these new groups from Seattle had plenty of room - they didn't need to take up ALL the room - only to be quickly supplanted by Pop Punk and Nu Metal.
@Zhefff Hurrnklle It was the business, it was the labels, it was the media - all that. But then Nirvana - and especially Kurt - has a big stick up his ass about hard rock. He didn't like Pearl Jam because they used blues guitar solos. He didn't like Gun N Roses because he thought they were archaic and misogynist - not that he was totally wrong there - but they were as much an alternative against the grain punk band as Nirvana. He specifically fostered a feud with Axl, and Dave Grohl - who I love for days - kept that fued going for decades until finally working with Slash years later. You can blame outsiders only so much, the hate for Hard Rock was there in their hearts right from the beginning - the fans and the media only reflected that.
@Zhefff Hurrnklle True, but it only worked because the fans went along with it. I don't know how many arguments I had with ppl in the 90's over Slash being the "Greatest Guitarist" - when he's not. He's fine- but he's not.

She seems hard, jaded, very edgy, can’t sit still. Felt uncomfortable just watching this. Drugs definitely took a toll. Sad she blew so many opportunities too - Sharon Stone, Britany Spears, etc. Surprise me no, the life of a rock wife/entertainer in LA isn’t as glamorous as most people think. I grew up there.
I look at a Lady , too searching themselves which in turns hoped aworld of optimistic value Do like her own ( Bobby has will and cares about many .Being her and so much of the rock world . Praise Her in being herself. Quite nice .

Didn't read either of Bobby's books. Wouldn't have known who she was if Jani hadn't married her.Just wanted to say how appalled I was that she chose to disclose a secret that Jani was so ashamed of that he thought he had taken to his death. If she had the guts to name who it was to at least get some type of payback for Jani I may had felt differently. If he had been alive she never wouldn't have dared to share that info. Jani would have hated her and been humiliated. Her reasoning to draw more attention to the book and possibly interviews. Let's not forget her reality T.V. fiasco.With exes like this women who needs enemies.

Hi, I'm Jani's second daughter and I'm the one who released Heaven. Bobbie was referring to my half sister Taylar, her daughter who indeed does not sing. My mom is Rowanne Brewer, not Bobbie.

Honestly, listen I hate grunge as much the next metalhead and I defend the GREAT KISS albums Carnival of Souls..THAT IS NOT A GRUNGE LP...hell first grunge LP could be KISS Hotter Than Hell since it was the template those garbage bands used..ask STP. The REAL bands stuck through it (VAIN)...it hurt bands (my boys STRYPER) but look at STRYPER now...releasing album of the year every release...look at grunge...most bands are DEAD..LITERALLY
