I guess Kobra and Kira’s motive for becoming Ghostface was that they got tired of being called jobbers and they didn’t want anyone to forget that they even existed 😆
Kobra was an empty slate will decent potential if used correctly. He is a fighting prodigy from earthrealm aligned to evil. If they’re smart they can even use him as a comical but also serious rival for Johnny cage. They could have been rivals growing up and took two different paths as they’re recruited to fight for either earthrealm or themselves
Yeah, that would be dope! He can one of Liu Kang’s next set of chosen champions, only for him to turn heel and join the other side, possibly spilling the tea on Liu’s plans to the bad guys
i’ve always liked his design and gimmick as the “casual street brawler” amongst a world full of supernatural entities, they certainly could’ve made his lore a lot more interesting tho
I actually liked Kira. They should've just used Skarlet's character for her. Kobra is pretty boring, but he could've worked if he was more fleshed out. More like a common thug that Kabal adopted and raised to be a Black Dragon than a Ken rip-off.

Gameplay wise, love using Kobra. He is a basic but powerful character, usually considered top 5 in Deceptions meta. Great frame data, a lot of attacks that are safe on block and his grab infinites + setups are crazy. Character wise he's a bit meh, but can't win em all!
I think the hate Kobra gets is overexaggerated and mostly unwarranted. A kombatant that uses "street fighting" as his style would be awesome if done right. Be much like Cody from the Street Fighter and Final Fight games, just far more brutal and bloody with the usual MK twist. ❤🔥
Pretty much Ghostface is the closest we'll ever get to Kobra and Kira coming back to MK1 (2023), because both their Movesets are Implemented into 1 Character with the Exception of the Knife Combat added into it.

What’s funny about Kobra’s second fatality, it almost looks like snips of Bruce Lee’s fight with Han from Enter The Dragon pieced together…there was a situation where Lee put Han in a headlock, and kicked him in the face, but only once. Then BEFORE THAT, there was that legendary kick…piece those together and you get Kobra’s fatality…and I’m only speculating because that’s the only reference that makes sense to me.
Imagine having to become the 3rd and 4th members of a guest character who is technically 2 people already just to get back into your own series. At this point Ghostface is ripping off his own knockoff, Legion from DBD.
I think Kobra's backstory is very interesting. He used to be a vigilante, a crime-fighter, using his martial arts skills to make the streets safer. But after accidentally killing a criminal he became unstable, sadistic, addicted to killing. He has now became the very thing he fought against, and his only way to survive in the streets was to become an assassin and a robber. But then the Black Dragons arrived.
I was in love with Kira when she was introduced in MK Deception. I found out and I was very disappointed in Ed Boon and the devs not giving her own new moveset instead of her hybrid moveset of Kano and Sonya. He ruined her and he made MK fans not liking her.
Now Kobra in terms of moveset is pretty good I didn’t mind that but him being in a fodder faction of the Black Dragon this guy’s destiny was kinda already set in motion to be an NPC kharacter in writing as most kharacters of this faction are unless your Kabal or something. Now Kira is basically Kano and Sonya recycled moveset both in terms of special moves and fighting style so she by default lacked originality to separate her from those Legacy kharacters not good and again story same thing with 95% of Black Dragon Kharacters just NPCs having a good design does not save you from these other components where you fall short. There is a reason you play MK Armageddon Konquest Mode and these are the first 2 Kharacters you bump into as the mighty Taven in your journey lol 😂.
