Bit late to the party, so reiterating a previous comment - those are private residences, and you weren't invited :) I know - I have a friend in the Bahamas ... Perhaps learn so local etiquette, ahem. Happy trails.

Where are you exactly cuz it looks like you are in someone's yard and here in the Bahamas. If the Gate is open don't just enter the yard, we often have dogs in our yards. So good sir please be more careful! Aside from that it was a wonderful video that discusses how subsistence farming is done in the Bahamas, I'd love to see more of your videos. There is still loads more done on Eleuthera and throughout the Bahamas when it comes to farming and our food resources. As for wild native food sources there was very little aside from seagrape and wild dilly which is smaller that the cultivated variety that was mentioned so these are commercially cultivated food crop......As for that tree which you said was possibly a 'chinese date'....I couldn't see it probably but if I was to guess I'd say that was a tree we call 'hog plum'(Spondias mombin). Keep up the good work.

Ah, I'll remember that. I was in Spanish Wells. It reminded me of communities gardens we have here back home since the gates opened right up to the street but I suppose I should know for sure before I go in.

I'm just seeing this video, overall a nice video, but please do not go into peoples yards without asking. I live in The Bahamas and this is not ok to do. We Bahamian people are very nice amd don't mind showing off our gardens, but please ask first, if you don't see anyone and their yard is opened which most are, just knock on the door. If you don't take my advice this would be concidered stealing.
