- Today I'm reviewing one of the most hyped releases of the year - the triple collaboration between Fragment Design, Travis Scott, and Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 High! Adopting a predominantly white-based colour scheme, hits of blue, black and sail provide some contrast on this colourway inspired by an unreleased sample Air Jordan 1 from 1985. The signature oversized reverse swoosh adorns the lateral side of the shoe, while logos of all three are visible throughout the shoe. Check out my review and let me know what you think!

These are great the colorway is indeed refreshing. It’s just sad to see that literally nobody got these that actually wants to wear them. But hey it is what it is these days

I do like the concept and execution overall for what they did with the highs, but I always liked the lows more and I am glad I got the lows for retail! Great review as always!
to people who are thinking of buying this pair, try to imagine how these pair would do, if there are absolutely no collabs on them at all?
Also prefer the lows to the highs.

You're right about the high tops using too much white. The additional sail makes the low tops look more balanced.

Let's be honest... If this colourway is a GR and w/o Travis's or Hiroshi touches.. it will still sell out though cos of the Jordan 1 high silhouette.. but resell value may be close to retail price imo...

Yeah I would definitely get this if this was a GR. The thing is, I actually love the sample that this is based on, and I really believe the cream midsole puts everything nicely together.
But yeah it would have at least been nice if they dropped more pairs on SNKRS. I think its lack of a SNKRS release really helped drive its market value up through the roof.
At some point I plan on getting this, not just because I like the sneaker, but also as a monument of sneaker trends of this era

Really appreciate what you said at the end there. Plus you showed some vulnerability, cause I think sadly ALL OF US are part of the problem when all is said and done. Sneaker culture unfortunately jumped the shark and even long time sneakerheads like us have fallen victim to it.

Tbh I’m getting tired of Nike doing these limited releases to generate hype. It’s clear what needs to be done - I think competing brands can beat Nike at their own game. Do collabs, be consistent with high quality, funnel supply back to stores to increase local revenue / cut out bots and release in reasonable numbers so who wants it can get it and cuts out the resellers.
The other brands dont have cult followers like Nike...
Other brands don’t have nostalgia like Nike
there's only two times that Nike got beat. First was in the 90s when Reebok spanked them with the Pump. Then in the 2010s when everyone loved Ultraboost and NMDs. This is just a pattern though.
The way it goes, people eventually want to play hipster and move on to something besides Nike, and that depends on what brand is at the right place at the right time. Eventually though, everyone comes back to Nike like sheep and the pattern repeats itself. So Nike will be beat again sometime in the future, we just don't know who yet.
The cactus jack face logo on this one is actually a smiley face, compared to the last one cuz they know how much hype this is going to generate lol

Hey,Sean! Another stellar review and video! That is a killer Toronto Blue Jays jersey. I’ve been a fan since ‘92-93 with Olerud,Molitor, Pat Borders and Joe Carter. As for the Travis/Fragment Jordan’s, even if the highs were general release, I’d prefer the lows. The design was better executed. I like they went with a black toe and cream swoosh. The Travis 1’s OG are much better than these, I believe.

Something is really off about this colorway, I think its the fact there is too much white and where the white is placed, not a fan

i prefer the highs but also do like the lows and i like these better than the brown ones from a few years ago- i plan on purchasing both for resale one day whenever the price falls to a low plateau whenever that be and do you see the resale price going down anytime soon or it will continue to skyrocket? second questions and i know many of your subscribers are curious because you usually announce how you obtain the shoes and did you buy retail or resale and how much?

Really nice - like 99.9% of the hopeful I got an L, and no way will I pay resale. But have to admit quality seems great: loose threads are 5 mins max with nail clippers, glue stains a bit more work, but as long as its well cut, even stitching, perfect L/R match and superb material quality, that's enough for me...or more accurately the lucky few...🙄

I really like the design of the highs and especially love the inspiration being a sample pair from decades ago, so if this was a GR with the same color blocking then I would also have to grab it. Luckily I was able to get a pair for retail (I won the raffle on the Travis Scott website) and I plan on keeping them for personal.

The lows are better as far as colorway but the highs are clean as well. The resell on those are just way too high.

Retail for life! I never have, and dont think I will ever pay overs for a shoe. Agree with the lows being the more appealing design between the two.
Just can't get behind this colourblocking, still looks off to me. This release was just whack. The prices are absolutely not worth what you are getting, you could have multiple grails for the same amount! The exclusivity is incredibly forced with those low supply numbers. Nike/JB don't care about you, they keep making releases more limited instead of less, could have easily made 30-50k 🤷♂️ Feel sorry for those that do like them.
