@@Marshiethemarshmallow I know I'm 11 months late here, but yes, that was the point of the comment. These guys (accidentally) did the same top 10 video twice, just six months apart.
overall not a biggy, but yeah, you think 1 of them would have checked their list of top 10's (pretty easy peasy). Of all the top 10s that needed an update, this one wouldn't be on anyone's top 10....lol.
What's more is that the games are not even the same, so in just 6 months their lists have changed. In a few weeks when Tom does his 10 great games of each year for 2006 I wonder if those will be different still?
which would in turn would suggest that any of the top 10/100/5's could be different one week to the next...lol..So Pandemic, TI3 and Cosmic, may only be number 1's at the time of the recordings and not even in the top 20 the following weeks.. Curiouser and curiouser.
I only have played 7 games from this year: 1. The Pillars of the Earth: my 45th favorite game. Just as they all said, a very good game. However, I feel Belfort scratches that itch better and sold my Pillars for $100. There are 2 copies in my meetup, so I can play it again if I want to. 2. Cleopatra and the Society of Architects is my 58th favorite game. It was tough to find, as it is OOP, and in fact, it was missing pieces, so I had to trade for pieces. But it was/is in great condition. 3. Tempus: my 59th favorite game. One of very few civ games I like. 4. Rum & Pirates: my 71st favorite game. Someone introduced it to me, I loved it and had to buy it. Did so, but haven't played it again yet. 5. Incan Gold: my 87th favorite game. Probably a top 3 game for my wife. It may rise with more plays. 6. Enemy Chocolatier: pushed off my top 100 list a month or so ago, so it is actually #106. A fairly fun game and would definitely play again. 7. Straw: a simple game I would play again, although it never has been on my top 100 Other games I would like to try: Capes & Cowls: The Superhero Board Game: many have claimed it was the best or one of the best SuperHero boards out there. Marvel Heroes: Another Superhero game I would like to try Clue DVD Game: I am fairly certain Tom has talked about this game at least twice on video. I found it at a thrift store but haven't played it yet. Pow Wow: Zee has me interested!
Yay, 2006 FORevAHhhhh. Now they have to make another finale video at the end of the year to figure out the best games of the two 06' top 10 games list they already done. Oooh ill watch that!! There can be only one...list.
Tom, do you know how much that copy of Marklin was/is there any way you would go back and pick it up? I've been trying to find it for my family for a while now and it's impossible. I live in central VA with only one game store even remotely close. I'd reimburse you plus something else! :)
Love Gift trap, own all expansions, but you have to know your people, and yeah I am with sam with the artwork stuff. Its like Anno Domini and Timeline. Other than that this game is amazing for people who know each other, in families a MUST HAVE!!!!
Maybe because I'm a wargamer first but I don't get the chit hate at all. I understand them not being preferred over minis but I don't feel they're actually a bad thing.
Surprised you didn't redo the 2005 list after you deleted it. Sure, you'd know the games each other put on it, but at least it would be entertaining and interesting.
Command and Colors Ancients is a great game, but greater then ASL :) LOL (Humph!) I beg to differ. Still a fun list guys to bad the 2005 list is lost forever, but good job still on this one. Have fun at Gen Con and enjoy the crowds :).
Okay, so, first of all, why did you guys do 2 Top 10 Games from 2006 lists? XD There's another one which is pretty much identical. But secondly, 33:45, excuse me, Tom? XD
Hey Tom, Keyflower has you pull workers from a bag to put behind your screen. You use them for bidding. I am not sure if that's what you were talking about.
Why do you guys never include information in the information tab? A break down of what games you're talking about would be really convenient. The WAN show on Linus tech tips does a really good job of this. I have to sit there and skip through to find each time a new game is talked about, and it is quite annoying. As much as I enjoy the Dice tower videos, they always seem many years out of date with the style at how they record things (the information is always excellent, that's why I continue to watch) Show less
Yeah, I probably should. It is a tad annoying to have to go to another website when I subscribe here. Just seems like a very minor thing they could do to improve on that MANY other good channels do
Please do the top 10 games from 2006 next
lol
Lmao
.... That’s what this video is.

A TH-cam search on Top 10 Games from 2006 leads to the (not deleted) video from January. I think they might've redone the wrong list ;-)
How could all 3 of them not remember that they did this before? I think this is the Dice Tower from an alternate timeline!
They got stuck in a convention time warp! And out popped these 3! The original ones are now playing board games in Land of the Lost!
In all probability, they probably do remember, but thought it had been deleted and then they mixed up the 2.

I really think you should do the top ten games from 2005 video again. You even said yourself that 05 was an amazing year compared to 06.
Yay, 2006 FORevAHhhhh. Now they have to make another finale video at the end of the year to figure out the best games of the two 06' top 10 games list they already done. Oooh ill watch that!! There can be only one...list.

This got deleted? Did it? I remember watching it at some point.....
Tom, I guess you can skip 2006 on your '40 Years of Great Games' series, right?
So nice he could skip it twice!
i think itd be funny to see three top 10s of 2006, just to see if he puts new games in each list :)
+Neil Erredge this should be in top 10 dice tower mistakes
Tom looked like he had an existential crisis when Sam mentioned Marklin.
Didn't you guys do this list already? 21st january
8/10 from Tom's list in Jan appear on this top 10
10/10 from Zee's list in Jan appear on this top 10
9/10 from Sam's list in Jan appear on this top 10
I bet Sam will punch Tom for that. They probably redid the WRONG list ...
+Oliver König that's a big boo boo, Yogi.
Was Incan Gold on Tom's list in January?
What were the new and old ones?
Love Gift trap, own all expansions, but you have to know your people, and yeah I am with sam with the artwork stuff. Its like Anno Domini and Timeline. Other than that this game is amazing for people who know each other, in families a MUST HAVE!!!!
Why doesn't Tom like Thurn & Taxis? Would be interesting to always hear the different opinions.
Maybe because I'm a wargamer first but I don't get the chit hate at all. I understand them not being preferred over minis but I don't feel they're actually a bad thing.
Hey Tom, would Top 10 Games to play without a table be a good top 10 for you guys?
Surprised you didn't redo the 2005 list after you deleted it. Sure, you'd know the games each other put on it, but at least it would be entertaining and interesting.
Command and Colors Ancients is a great game, but greater then ASL :) LOL (Humph!) I beg to differ. Still a fun list guys to bad the 2005 list is lost forever, but good job still on this one. Have fun at Gen Con and enjoy the crowds :).
heh... gotta love when Tom tries stirring the pot when he attacks ASL.
Okay, so, first of all, why did you guys do 2 Top 10 Games from 2006 lists? XD There's another one which is pretty much identical.
But secondly, 33:45, excuse me, Tom? XD
wow i only own 4 games that came out in 2006 hehe. And one is a recently big box reprint (shogun)
On the Underground should be considered for dice tower essentials
Hey could you guys do a video for best online board games?
I think Tom said he doesn't do multi-player online board games, just solo ones. Would that hurt or change the list? maybe.
I need to try Blue Moon City to finally see if it is better than Thurn and Taxis :)
Tom actually says at the start "we did the best games of 2005," but then says 2006 from then on.
Hey Tom, Keyflower has you pull workers from a bag to put behind your screen. You use them for bidding. I am not sure if that's what you were talking about.
Haha. Tom was right. Dice Tower did do two top ten of 2006.
lol Love all the content these guys put out but seems like somebody goofed by not realising this was done 6 months ago
I was a newborn baby in July of 2006! Lol 😂
How about top 10 games that takes less than 1 hour to play?
Top 10 games on the current topp 100 on BGG
Top 10 Top 10 lists done by Dice Tower :P
Uhm...you guys have already done this list back in january....whoops?
They all forgot they've already done this...
i thought u meant video games
I love Catan but...Sam's not wrong. The dice just control too much of that game.
Chits? The preferred term is "counters" or "unit counters." :-)
Alright!

I notice that they do list the games mentioned on their website with the videos. Try there.

I agree with Sam. Catan is the worst. So boring and because you need to trade it takes at least 20 minutes longer than it should
Faidutti-ish.
