Fascinating game so far calandale. Thx for the vid updates. I really like what Vasta did with the map, it is beautiful. The counters are also well designed. So far for a game of this scope, everything seems to be running relatively smoothly. I find it interesting that "Unconditional!" appears to find a good middle-ground between not being overly complex with a library of rules, and not so simplified that it ends up being a glorified risk game of WWII. Can't wait until my copy arrives.
So far, I'm very impressed with what I see. I can't say it's my hands-down favorite strategic WWII game, but it's got that potential with the room for expansion. Really hoping a Pacific game is spawned from this and looking forward to the options for all those extra counters.
***** I liked very much the fact you could actually start the game by attacking the Soviets. Although whether it was wise to do so I suppose remains to be seen. A Pacific expansion with the same system might be interesting although I imagine the naval/air rules would need to be beefed up.
