One of the nicest gentlemen I've ever met and he even shared with me a story of his experience on the eastern front that was truly awe inspiring.
Trevor Haley , His aircraft (a HE 111) and flight for the matter were attacked by some russian fighters after a bombing run. His aircraft was hit, and couldn't keep up with the rest of the formation. From there, they were attacked by one determined Russian fighter. They managed to shoot him down but their own HE was so badly hit that they had to make a crash landing something like 200km behind Russian lines. It kills me but I can't remember his name. It began with a S. Herr Schroeder maybe, but for the life of me I no longer remember. Well despite being forced down by a enemy fighter, every member was alive. And to make matters more impressive, he led his whole bomber crew, evaded the Russians, and walked back to friendly german lines without losing a single man. He didn't talk very much about his military experience (much to my disappointment), but he often talked about that experience and how proud to this day he felt that he kept all his men alive and got them back. He was a amazing and very kind man, he has surely passed away by now and I regret not keeping in contact with him and forgetting his name
About 12 years ago I visited the Confederate airforce museum in Phoenix, AZ and they had one of the last few FLYABLE HE-111s doing engine warmup tests near the hangar. They would spool the right engine up for a few minutes, power it back and then spool the left engine up. The roar was incredible and you could feel it straight down to your bones. That's something these sims never can replicate (nor should they probably, we'd all go deaf). Was an awesome experience. Sadly, a year or so later that same HE-111 crashed while flying to an air show exhibition, killing the pilot. :(

How do you find the mapping in this game, mate? I have Cliffs of Dover and it's shocking, in your vid it seems pretty simple to navigate. I'm assuming it's just as simple in single player mode too?
+Claudius Maximus Yes, it's mapped well. If your not a person who enjoys working out heading, range and location on a map yourself the single player can also mark your location on map for you if you wish.

This is IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad, You are likely playing IL-2: Birds of Prey which is a totally different game with a totally different developer. Basically Birds of Prey is War Thunder single player for the 360, There's no cockpits, No realistic Flight modeling, Gunnery is more based on a game than anything simulating real life, Its nothing like Battle of Stalingrad. Hate to say it but if you are interested in Simulation mate your gonna need a PC, Flight Simulation is one area where consoles get nothing worthwhile, All the good simulations are PC exclusive.
No, As I said in the video there was low altitude cloud cover starting at 900m directly over the bombing target, The He 111s bombsite is near useless at altitudes below 1km so I eyeballed the target from the cockpit. I find it remarkable that people don't watch the video and then ask questions that would obviously have been covered in the video.
+MagzTV Alright relax man didn't know the bomb site is useless below 1km I bomb with the He 111 at times and is fun and usually bomb at 5km. I know you were flying low due to clouds just didn't know you didn't use the bomb site because you were below 1km. But I believe you could of used the bomb site even below the clouds just saying as long as your not so low.

It also has full controls fly the aircraft along with displays to show slip, roll and elevation angles while lining up the bombs. Was disappointed that i couldn't use it but WoL is known for having cloud cover over its bombsites.
Is "Wings of Liberty" russian server, or is there no servers outside Russia? I noticed several russian messages pop up, some of them were even from biased russians.

it would be amazing if the next microsoft flight simulator had combat systems and vr goggles and realistic graphics and detail i would play it but i dont have vr goggles yet everyone would be playing it i would recon because its made by microsoft and its got vr googles impressive graphics and supports mods. ;)

If you want Combat, IL-2 BoS/BoM or DCS World are already available (DCS covers WWII aircraft all the way to modern jet fighters) and theres of course Rise of Flight if your interested in WWI
travis james Yes there is but no true modeled weapons systems, Its just so you can fly them from place to place, No combat. For Jet combat DCS is what you want.
can one equip the he111 with german sd-2 cluster bombs that look a lot like sycamore seeds and floated to the earth the same way? The german's used this invention of theirs to great affect on Russian airbases and soft targets. I don't even play the game! But these videos are awesome just to watch the aircraft. Because there are so few good He.111 videos on YT.

I would say it has something to do with the radio so the communicator/pilot can contact the ground crew or other communicators/pilots
Yeah bomber gameplay is much more easy to watch as there is more going inside the plane and more to see out of it.
He released the first bomb while flying at a very shallow dive and dropped the bomb right over the depot, how did he expect to hit the depot?
He-111 has one of the best views of all the plane... That is, unless you are flying in combat.
