@@LyssaARR I think a lot of the messages in the Bible were applicable for the time in which it was written for people of that time to understand their power and connection with spirit. When I look at that verse now and put it in a more modern lens it tells me that nothing should be put on a pedestal above God/my own power. Not that his “feelings” are literally hurt. For example, when we worry about something, we are putting that on a pedestal because we’re saying that this thing is greater than God/Universe to be handled and being for our highest good. When we put other people, material things, etc. at the head of our life we disempower ourselves.
Thank you. Your clip randomly turned up on my feed during my gym workout. Honestly, I realise I didn't listen to it properly. I'm sorry. We appear to have different beliefs. I assume when you say 'my power' it is through the Holy Spirit, not yours alone, but you may see things differently. I'm unsure what relevance the universe has in your mention. I believe God created the universe. Yes, I agree we're not meant to magnify things above God. It's idolatry, which creates separation from God. For the record I believe God is perfect love.
@@LyssaARR thanks so much for watching! I believe our power is through God as well, but God to me is all of us. I use universe almost interchangeably with God. A lot of my beliefs and discussions on this channel use Christianity as a baseline because that’s the religion I grew up in. And honestly, I believe a lot of it, but I think for different reasons. And to me, I think religion is a bunch of different approaches for us to all come to a similar conclusion of our own power. Thanks again for watching and having a conversation! ☺️
yes shameee holds us back!!
@@BecomingAnah it was a sneaky one that I didn’t even realize at first how detrimental it can be!

Thanks for letting me know!
Serious question. Exodus 34:14 how do you reconcile the word of God?

When folks place humanistic characteristics on God they are placing limits on God. God is limitless.
@@lothedon Right! And knowing that God is limitless makes me feel limitless and more empowered.
