    Oi Bea. Muoito Obrigada. Eu tenho uma pergunta. The conjugation for present AR verbs and past tense AR verbs for nos (we) is the same ending in amos, is that right? (viajamos for present tense, and viajamos for past tense). So how does one know whether we are talking in present or past tense? Is it because of sentence context?
    (We travelled LAST YEAR and we travel ALL THE TIME will both be viajamos...)

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oi Sylvia!! That's right!

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Olá! Tudo bem?
      I always like to look at the context in which something was used before saying what that means, because, who knows 😊
      In general *está de volta* means that something or someone *is back.*
      Examples:
      Meu vizinho está de volta. - (My neighbor is back.)
      A calça boca de sino está de volta. - (Bell bottom pants are back.) 😀

      Quite the opposite. You are being smart!😃
      That coincidence happens with 'nós' in all regular verbs in the past (Pretérito Perfeito).
      Nós geralmente estudamos de manhã (presente).
      Ontem, nós estudamos à noite (passado).
      Nós nunca comemos carne no jantar (presente).
      Ontem à noite, comemos feijoada no jantar (passado).
      Nós ainda não assistimos a todas as aulas do Plain Portuguese (presente).
      Ontem, assistimos a duas aulas do Plain Portuguese (passado).
