I never had a problem with fatigue until I became a caffeine addict. Once I got completely dependent on caffeine pills that's when I developed CFS, issues with digestion, severe insomnia, etcetcetc the list goes on. It's been 1 week since I quit and I couldn't be happier that I'm done with this drug for good. I'm finally getting my natural energy back and starting to feel like my old self again. If you're thinking about quitting caffeine you won't regret it.

It took a while to get to this point though, 3-4 months just for the brain fog and a lot of the fatigue to go away, about 6-10 months to start feeling completely normal again. Over a year to fix the insomnia. But I'm the most happy about having no more chronic fatigue and brain fog 👌👌👌

I’m fairly certain it’s contributed to my adrenal fatigue, and I’m ready to quit. Drinking fruit juices that have some sugar + drinking water when I quit coffee months ago still got the worst headaches. Couldnt look straight while walking from so much pain and went to sleep in the afternoon (went to bed with so much pain it was unbelivable and ended up falling asleep. As soon as I woke up to pee got again huge huge pain that only went away when sleeping. It lasts 7-10 days and if you drink tea or chocolat or coffee you only add days to the pain.

I was drinking 3 cups of coffee a day for a very long time, and I randomly started getting carpel tunnel symptoms, it got so bad it was had to even hold on to things or open stuff. I tried a b6 supplement and it got better but sill had issues I noticed it was worse after drinking coffee. Then I cut my coffee down to 1 cup a day and after about a week I had no more carpel tunnel symptoms and still no issues after about 6 months so far. not sure if it was the coffee itself or the caffeine maybe causing a b vitamin deficiency. it's just strange I have been drinking it all my life, I guess my body just had enough.

I am addicted to the euphoria from taking caffeine after the withdrawal - which gets me back into the cycle unfortunately... I even like the withdrawals as every day without caffeine will make the euphoria better - kind of like longer nofap gives better orgasm. I am yet to find a way to use caffeine just occassionally or none at all.

I am actually an extreme night owl and my cycle shifts by hour of more every day so I often sleep during day. Cofee shifts this even more so I often use it to correct the cycle - but it does not last long and I am daysleeping again... Last months I don't even know I have any cycle - I just sleep randomly - each day at completely different hour :(

@Bacon & Eggs Indeed. Fortunately I found a milder substitution with herbal stimulants and adaptogens, such as Ginseng, Maca, Astragalus, Tribulus and Kratom (which is slightly addictive, but not as much as caffeine and the withdraval is bearable). Modafinil also works great for knowledge workers and late shift workers.

I've detoxed a couple of times, about to do it again starting tomorrow. I definitely get the more consistent energy! I've found the best way for me is actually a rapid taper. That is, right now I drink 1 to 3 cups a day. My plan is to not have my morning coffee, and as soon as I start to feel withdrawl symptoms, usually a mild headache at first, I'll have half a cup of coffee or tea. That's it for tomorrow's caffeine. Repeat the next day then go cold turkey. You get some withdrawl symptoms but they are pretty mild when done this way. Within about 5 days to a week I'll be 100%

I kept have heart palpitations from drinking coffee. I switched to decafe . I would normally drink one large French press of coffee per day. Palpitations stopped being so intense but we’re still there. Had my DNA done and found out I was a slow metabolizer of coffee. I also found I had vitamin deficiencies from a mutation in my genes-MTHFR. Bought supplements, changed my diet, and they disappeared. I found a substitute for coffee, chicory root. I bought it off of Amazon from World Botanicals. I also found Teecino chicory coffee at my local Whole Foods. They cost more but you do not need to use much. Two scoops is fine in a French press. This has been a life health changer. No more palpitations. Also, there are foods that made me have this problem. So I watch myself. I believe by having good nutrition based on your DNA helps you achieve a healthier life. My doctor is amazed by my research, DNA, and problem solved. I took control of my health.

What about caffeine’s impact on the pineal gland (the sitting place of the soul, intuition, creativity, astra-travel, etc.). It is already proven that people who have a regular caffeine intake have a 20% smaller pineal gland. Link that to the calcification caused by chemicals like fluoride and connect the dots as to why its a legal drug, representing a billion dollar industry.

What about all the health benefits? Such as reduced risk of heart disease, reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, protection against Parkinson's and Alzheimer’s, lowered risk of Alzheimer's disease and more. Granted, if you're getting your caffeine from energy drinks, the sugar is probably causing more problems than the caffeine is helping. Drinking more coffee has even been shown to lower your risk for dying (mortality), from Association of Coffee Consumption With Mortality Among Nonwhite Populations.
I don't think your arguments for quitting caffiene were very compelling compared to the vast amount of health benefits as evidenced by many studies.

I believe it depends on genetics, if you metabolise coffee slowly the drug has stronger and longer lasting effects. These people suffer more negative effects from drinking coffee including cardiovascular risks. Fast metabolisers on the other hand appear to gain positive benefits from drinking coffee. These are the people who can have a coffee before bed and sleep soundly. Me personally I’m a slow metaboliser of coffee and can attest to the negative side effects of coffee even though I like it I’ve had to give it up.

If anyone is still looking at this video for years later I'll say that fasting absolutely worked for me with no caffeine withdrawal. Mind you I was having roughly 100 to 150 mg of coffee in either 50 mg tablets or two to three cups of coffee a day. I did an Islamic style fast which consists of waking up very early in the morning, usually 4:00 a.m., eating before the sun rises and hydrating, and then not eating or drinking anything until sundown. I also do intermittent fasting regularly, and I'm able to not eat for 16 to 20 hours. During my fasting period, I had absolutely no symptoms, and no withdrawal, and remained that way in the days after until I felt like a taste of coffee before a workout and got hooked again lol.

Hey guys, here is a tip that helps me with coffee: mint tea.
It's spicy, bitter, strong taste, hot of course and... absolutely caffeine free, naturally. It probably won't "wake you up" like a cup of coffee but it does provide that fresh breath after a sip, which does help, alongside with the coffee attributes I mentioned.
Also don't add sugar to it, enjoy its naturtal gentele sweetness.

Our bodies accumulate a lot of toxins from the way we eat, our lifestyle etc and even though our liver is an excellent detoxing machine, they tend to be overworked when we continue to ignore them doing the things behind the scenes. I haven't researched whether taking caffeine supplement has the same effect though so I shall read up a bit more. Thanks for the query. Btw, I'm a new subscriber. Keep up the good work.

But the way I see it, I don't smoke or drink or any other drugs, so such a little amount isn't that harmful compared to others I know. I know people who go through 24pks in 3 days or less. For example couple of weeks ago I wasn't drinking normal coffee for 2 or 3 days, only 3in1 and after that it felt so horrible when I drank a little coffee again. My heart rate was high and I felt like fainting and my whole body was shaking. Before this I often felt a strange shaking in my heart as if it was arithmetically beating but I didn't really care about it. As a cons I decided to stop drinking coffee immediately. I know that it also has some good features but the bad ones are really serius. Maybe, it might play a little role in causing a lot of people heart problems and fatal heart diseases.

Coffee is freaking awesome. Why not have it on Wednesdays and Saturdays instead of never? Life should be good!

Moderated use of caffeine is definitely the way to go, twice or 3 times a week is perfect. Although, I would recommend first quitting it cold turkey for a month if you've abused the substance like I have (6 cups coffee a day) so in order to restore your adenosine receptors to normal levels. This way you get to have normal energy levels like a non-caffeine drinker would but still get to utilize the substance once or twice a week whenever it would be most useful, best of both worlds really

How to quit caffeine - First, suddenly become hypersensitive to caffeine and welcome to a new world where a coffee will either be decafe or mixed with a valium to meet the anxiety/panic attack somewhere in the middle, the latter, although may sound nice later in the day, isn't recommended.

I've gone cold turkey twice now. The third day of withdrawl was the worst, with awful headaches. After that, things started to improve, though I still felt mellow and down for weeks. I only managed about a month without coffee, and that first cup after the break felt absolutely amazing. I might try going with the decaf method next time.

I wonder if coffee sales will go down some day, like it could be a trend that corrects once people learn that it's not desirable in spite of the initial effects

I quit caffeine 6 years ago. Replaced it with 4-5 liters of water a day and I’ll never go back. Combined that with only eating once every 24 hours and my energy levels are maxed every day, no crashes, no Headaches. My wife quit caffeine 7 days ago cold turkey and she looks 5 years younger.

Erwin Schrödinger.. nope I just enjoy water and I feel great when I’m fully hydrated. I work outside year round. To me what I drink is normal.

Art Basement Nope. He's drinking 8 pints a day (approx) which is only about half a pint per hour. Thats optimal.

Art Basement Recommended by whom? 4 to 5 is optimal in my experience. Water is essential for mental focus and clarity , for mood as well as for the digestion of foods. The idea that 2 litres a day is enough is nonsense.
