Bought one yesterday at screwfix live in farnborough lovely saw i got batteries and charger coming tomorrow so she is ready to go Tuesday. I was the 36 volt ls714 which is a great mitre saw as well great vid as well👌
Same here I have the 10inch version to ...to say its heavy is understatement compared to my other saw a 10 inch corded dewalt ..and when you add the folding miter stand the weight starts to get out of hand if you had a job in a flat for example theres no way you could carry it up the stairs youd have to separate them even then the weight of this saw is massive ..I have to use a ramp to get it in the van ...love the saw but after 2 months of use the weight is starting to get to me ...apart from the weight the saw is fantastic ....the 300mm saw would be no good to anyone unless you were in a work shop environment as again the weight is to much for a every day saw ...
I got the 12 inch 004 . I love the capacity of the cross cut but it’s so heavy kind of kill the need for a battery to make it portable because at that weight it’s not really portable…
Great video.Assume its all still going well?Lookedcat the Kapex 60 yesterday but only cuts up to 60 20 mm when turned to the right on compound cuts.Plus with a like for like kits its roughly €700 more expensive in Ireland than the Makita.
People been having issue with the slide rails being out you can adjust them which should fix your cut. Check out the 18x2 saw review at 'tools and stuff' he goes through it a bit
@chrislavers1439 Yeah, I ended up purchasing this saw in the video (LS002G), and it cuts perfectly straight, but I think the 10 - and 12 inch 40v saws have the same bowed cut problem because the carry the exact same design as the 18x2, and corded models.
Tilbyrger, it's still a really good saw. For the work I do 95 percent the saw is big enough as if it's not I just use another machine in the workshop. Cheers for watching 👍
Thanks for the review bud. Just picked one up and everything looks legit but theres a creaking sound when you drop the saw to the table, did you get that on yours or is it pretty quiet when you bring the saw down?

Glad you made this review. I currently have the 10” version but it’s heavy. I plan on buying the 8 1/2” just because of your video.
Cheers mate, appreciate it. Goodluck

Hey Mate! Have you ever had a problem with the big Makita corded saw, cutting curved when in the sliding mode?

Great review. Are you still happy with this 216mm version or do you miss (sometimes) a 260mm one like the 004 s?
