Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. It has been over a year since I last went over to Fitzwilliam railway station on the Leeds branch of the East Coast Mainline. This trip went well in terms of traffic who appeared involving two Azuma’s, three freights and a new Northern unit on test. Hope you all enjoy this!
Trains include: LNER 225 sets & Azuma’s, CrossCountry Voyagers, Northern Pacers, 322’s & 331107, DB Cargo 66’s and GBRF 66774

The line speed is 110 the station opened by the lner in 1937 closed in 1967 and was an island platform near the north road bridge.the current one opened in 1982 and was the first metro sponsered station.fotos of the origional are non existant but a dvd called steam in the west riding by gavin morrison has some colour cine footage from 1963.

Nice video, love this place, it is great for trainspotting. Do you know what speed the LNER high speed trains come past the station at. It would help if you reply.
