Having ridden the Orlando and Northwestern operation (great barbecue!) along w/the scenery and fantastic equipment sorry that was not able to survive though some of the cars have migrated to operate on the St. Mary's North of Jax. The DJJX scrap cars are David Joseph Co. who are a major scrap dealer who has cut-up many an Amtrak car in Beech Grove, IN which did not find another home after their regular passenger career ended.
Great video 😀👍👍 I really miss the Royal Palm Railway (that tourist railroad in the Mt Dora area). It’s sad they put so much money into upgrading the crossings and updating some of the track work, only to have it close. I hope it comes back and is run a bit better.
A lot of railroads have tried and failed to successfully operate the golden triangle, the TE&G was probably the closest one. However yes, it is sad they folded.
Is it possible these hoppers were being used in sorrento? They have been making track upgrades. That seems like a short cut to go on a storage track that far away

Possible, although they all appeared to be empty. Who knows...
This line is being transformed into a bike trail now.
