  • In episode F10, we took a closer look at how vehicle E/E systems changed, with a journey through time that ended in the early 2010s as we introduced Ethernet into vehicles. What came next? What is the present state-of-play? What might happen next? Let's go explore, to see if we can find a software-defined vehicle!

    CONNECT WITH ENGINEERING THE JIGSAW
#EnginEEringTheJigsaw is a new series from #VectorInformatik that explains the technologies and concepts that are being built into the electrical/electronic (‘E/E’) systems of modern vehicles, and how Vector helps engineers to simplify their daily work: th-cam.com/users/hashtagengin...
To help you approach the episodes, we are grading them according to the level of content, as ‘foundation’, ‘intermediate’ or ‘advanced’. For more information on the series, please watch our introduction episode: • Welcome to EnginEEring...
Please get in touch with us if you want to suggest topics relevant to modern vehicle E/E systems that you’d like us to cover, or if you have any questions on the content: www.vector.com/int/en/know-ho...

Make sure to hit that bell! We've been busy looking at Intermediate-level content for a while (it took us a bit longer than we had hoped it would), and new episodes are coming 🙂

Are Tesla using HPCs or Autosar adaptive? I see that they are using dual CPUs in a centralised ECU.

Thank you for your question! We're afraid that we cannot give any specific details on the technologies used or approach taken by any given vehicle manufacturer, beyond what they have already disclosed in public. We hope you understand!

Can't see product manufacturer doing an ASIL D product trusting a 3rd party to send signals like wheel speeds over a network. I notice 26262 still hasn't had a mention in this new software utopia.
