- Chris Brennan does a retrospective analysis of astrological predictions made about the Mars-Uranus conjunction that happened in mid-July 2024, and how that worked out in light of the attempted assassination of former President Trump.
During the course of this I play some clips from episodes of The Astrology Podcast over the past year where we talked about the Mars-Uranus conjunction and predicted the types of events we expected to align with it, and then providing some commentary in between clips.
The purpose is to study and understand the process of making our predictions about the conjunction, and what we can learn from it in retrospect.

Just started watching this so no specific comment on the video, but this incident has solidified my impression that predictions can never really get the actual facts - just the vibe.
In this case the distinction between decapitation and coronation seems to be a hair's breadth.

Just a personal feedback - I have been taking heed of the days/time periods that you and Austin point out as being especially difficult or challenging. I circle those days on my calendar well in advance, so I remember to be more delicate with others (and myself) during those times.

In December 2023, you called it. There was so much random, surprising conflict in my environs over these days you're discussing. Nothing too ridiculous, but a bit out of nowhere and edgy and from surprising people. And then it passed but as though a fog lifted or a drug wore off. Weird time!
I've also noticed that a lot of celebrities have been passing away.

You got it right on Israel as well....drone attack evading Iron Dome. Also, as for the assassination attempt, transiting Mercury at 17 Leo was on the midpoint of Trump's natal Uranus (17 Gem) and Jupiter (17 Libra) and may account for some luck or a subliminal perception that he needed to turn his head? Transiting MC on his Neptune as well.

I started out listening to this episode on Spotify but had to see the analysis…the charts and the playbacks…I remain in awe of this ancient wisdom and am grateful for this real time Astro reporting. I wonder how Trump’s tone might change regarding gun control or how he might up his personal security and protection even more so, especially since it’s his birth right demonstrate those martial characteristics. The Republican Party should have an astrologer on staff, I would, just like the kings of yore.

I remember you guys comparing Mars in Aries to Mars in Scorpio, saying Aries is the machine gun, and Scorpio is the single precise shot. ... Trump’s Mars at 26Dg 46m squared ‘Algol the Beheader’ at 26Dg 30m Mars being the Secret Service shooting the Assassin right between the eyes !! Transiting Mars was also conjunct to Uranus which was also being squared by Trump’s Mars (the Secret Service).
I'd thought I'd heard that Algol was conjunct Mars & Uranus in ♉️ ?

another thing is that algol has symbolism surrounding the head being taken off...and the shot hit trump on his head
"taking risks before fully considering the consequences". That perfectly explains the shooter, who had a Mars-Uranus conjunction in his birth chart. Mars in the first house. I have that. Cancer is my first house, and I am actually a very controlled person in my speech, and have always been well aware of what hurts any particular person and never to use it to hurt them. So my speech is controlled. But, I've had many issues with my head, scar on my forehead still very visible, from cracking it open in a fall when I was 3. Had migraines since around age 23. Suffered from meningitis at age 24. A lot of head related issues.

Thanks so much for this for this retrospective, it’s massively helpful for us newer astrologers who are still learning how transits could manifest. All of last week I’ve been staring at the charts of Trump, Biden, and Kamala trying to interpret how things could play out. I was mainly worried about Biden because of Mars/Uranus in his 6H opposing his Sun in 12H, I thought of an unexpected injury or a sudden illness. The 15th came and went so I guessed I was off, but today they said he tested positive with Covid so it did show up while mars was still within that conjunction. All that being said, I am curious how the September eclipse will show up for Trump given he was born under an eclipse. The study of astrology continues to fascinate me to no end.

Astrology truly is fascinating. I also noticed the shooter had Jupiter in fall opposite to Mars. Jupiter tends to inflate things, and since it's in the 11th house it deals with public image in a certain way (not so much as 10th but still...).
The shooter and the USA Sibley chart BOTH have a natal Mars-Uranus conjunction ! When this synodic cycle actualized in 2024 it activated these two entities. Trump was also impacted because of the synastry : his Leo Mars was opposite the shooter's Aquarius Mars.

I just realized in listening to this-you mentioned that the shooter had mars/uranus conjunct in his birth chart. My (young right now) grandson has Aries in his first house with Mars and Uranus together (8° apart) with the moon. (Closer to Mars). He has Jupiter in the 9th house Sag, and Pluto in his 10th house (Capricorn) 5° away from Saturn. It seems to me that the extra Mars/Aries energy (including the first house) along with the emotional moon energy in his first house could be a problem. I always said from the time he was born that he would have an unpredictable temper based on his emotions. He also has Neptune in Pisces in the 12th house. His Chiron is in the 12th on the cusp of Pisces and Aries And his Mercury is at 0° of Pisces in the 12th. his Sun is in the 12th house.
Venus is on his midheaven in Capricorn.
That conjunction was my first thought, when it happened. You all do a great job there!! ...but I'm curious, what you see for Biden.

My mom, myself & my son all have Algol prominent on our birth charts which have been playing out in very significant, unusual ways I'm realizing. Did you see what happened at the Tenacious D concert in Australia? During the show, which was his birthday, Kyle Gass made a Trump joke the day after the shooting. Both Kyle Gass and Jack Black have soft aspects to the Mars/Uranus degree. They cancelled the rest of their tour and the band is now on hold. Gass has a Mars-Uranus square - loosely in contact with the transit Mars/Uranus.

There is another reader i listen to who kept getting spiritual downloads over the last few weeks regarding someone being shot and that it would make world news. she also said the number 27 is significant. I believe 27 was the firehouse or badge number or something for the fireman who was shot and killed at that rally.

Apologies if I missed some discussion of it, but check out the current Jupiter-Saturn aspect cycle going into Jupiter and Saturn aspects to Neptune next year(ish). It's pretty interesting how it's reflecting politically and how both of the current US presidential nominees reflect back both the conjunction in late 2020 and the square through this next year. The DNC in August should be interesting...

As an interesting note I had an accident that day too resulting in concussion which I am recovering from still now and my natal Mercury is at 25• Taurus and as Mars + Uranus were within a degree I accidentally hit my head pretty badly. It happened in my 4H and I was moving out of a month long house sit when it happened (Uranus in Taurus has me with no fixed address 😅)
Interesting. My daughter was going into surgery and the electricity in the entire city went out! She was the last patient (and is doing fine). On the opposite end of the country my son had a car bring a power line down on itself in front of his house. Crazy day.

in depth analysis as always, but I wish you could have gone into the astrology of how such an intensely malefic transit is turning out so positively for him. Obviously will have to wait and see what happens, but I’d love to hear an analysis of how the current/recent astrology could cement his win as his fans now view him as a hero and god’s chosen candidate.
It’s not necessarily that aspect (with Algol) that mitigated the harm. The protection came from elsewhere.
This was all part of a sign based T square with Venus opposite Pluto, that Venus being in his 1st house so he came out looking good. Pluto in the house of enemies...
