This was very helpful and it makes me feel better about myself. Being a nursing student right now, I really wanted to go to CRNA school after a couple years on unit. Thanks for the info!
I am from Hawaii too! Currently just got accepted into nursing school in Arizona and I am looking into one day becoming a CRNA as well! I just wanted to say that I love and appreciate all the videos you’ve made about CRNA and for making the CRNA club for those like myself looking into a pivotal career path. Keep inspiring and I hope I get to work with you someday! 🤙🏽
Thanks for sharing! I was accepted into a program earlier this year and start next may. Definitely looking forward to the transition to CRNA even though I'm also nervous about the program!
🤙We interviewed in Hawaii as a potential first stop for us! We decided to go a different direction, but if things align for us we wouldn't pass it up! Strong work on the video! Lots of nuggets in here 🤗💪
which science classes did you take? I am currently in an ABSN program, I am set to graduate in december 2024 and nursing school is really going well for me. I really want to go to CRNA school so I am gathering all of my info now!!
Hi there Thankyou for your helpful tips I am currently in an ABSN program; I’m debating whether to take ochem/physics to look better because with the looks of it I will be graduating with a 3.4-3.5 is this recommended? Also what were your stats getting into the program?(:
Hi! depends on your current core science grades. A's in them? Eh, I'd only take them if you need to as a pre-req for your schools. any core science class less than a B I'd re-take (and consider a higher level like Ochem or biochem). Each school calculates GPA differently. We have a free masterclass on our website (thecrnaclub.com) that would be really helpful for you! I had a 3.7 overall.
@@thecrnaclub3478 Hi there Thankyou so much! I got all As and Bs on my science prereqs I believe I got a C in biology which is my lowest class. And I will definitely check it out Thankyou!🥹 I’m planning on taking ochem straight out of nursing school(:
Most schools care more about your science GPA. If you need to, take any extra science class or two to bump that up. Remember, it's all about getting your foot in the door with an interview. A 3.5 overall gpa with a solid science at or about 3.6 - 3.7 should get you interviews.
Hi! What kind of volunteer experience would you recommend? I have some experience with precepting on my unit but no charge/research experience so I'm looking for ways to boost my resume since I'll be applying this summer :)

Thanks Natt! I appreciate that. We have a couple of podcasts coming out for nursing students in the next few weeks. One on getting a new grad ICU job!

You need a BSN to apply for CRNA school.
I wish they had a CRNA on Oahu 😭😭 they barely got a DPT program recently. Hopefully they change that soon.

Was your CRNA program maths and chemistry heavy?
yes, super!
