- In this Travel Vlog I take a ferry from Tilbury Docks to the maritime town of Gravesend in Kent. My adventure immediately takes a spooky turn in historic Borough Market when a market trader discloses her experiences with ghosts at a local cafe!
After some ghost detective work I set out to Gravesend Fort by electric bike after bumping into my cousin and his girlfriend. My adventure closes with some superb food with my girlfriend at Rico Sabor Restaurant (The old prison!) within the historic town hall!

I enjoyed a day in Gravesend last week ,but the ferry is being discontinued at the end of the month so grab a trip on it whilst you still can.
Considering I moved away 20 years ago.. seeing that has brought back memories.. the Cells were the original holding cells for the Gravesend Magerstates court opersite the Tapas shop
As a Tilbury geezer, this brought back many memories,some sad,some hilarious.Back in 80s & 90s a group of us would go across to Gravesend, they had better and more pubs and clubs. Great vids and Thank you 👍💯

Good Vlog... Shame the tunnels weren't open at the fort (only a quid or 2 to go in)... Also, you scratched the surface pal... If you did a full on one of the whole area, Gravesend's history is pretty unreal and it has so so many hidden gems, most haven't even been discovered by the public at large... The other forts along the Riverfront, AEI Henley hidden underground bunker, tunnels under the three daws, Sikh Temple, Gravesend Industial and Tugboat heritage (the entire river traffic from the North Sea to Teddington is still managed and ran out of Gravesend and has done since the days of Henry 8th... Family history on it runs centuries, literally)... Could go on... My town has a lot of problems but I'm a proud Gravesender and always will be!

Good comments about Gravesend from Proudbrit……. Too much time was spent chatting to the blonde lady in the market……. Study Gravesend history before doing another video.

Returning from France on June 19th 1865. All of Charles Dickens's Railway Nightmares came true! Until he was involved in a terrific train crash accident at Staplehurst in Kent.
Ten people died in the accident.
The accident would prop Dickens to write his finest Ghost Story called The Signalman.

Was born in Gtown and left in 2015 after 35 years . This video makes me miss it, despite all its faults home is home. I may move back one day

Gravesend is a rather well known place not just in the UK but in other countries due to its history like you showed earlier like: Pocahontas, the actor Michael Gambon lives in the borough of Gravesend in Meopham, other well known people like actress-Gemma Arterton grew up in Gravesend amongst others!
