Nice detective work firguring out where the air exchanger is going to fit in! I am a bit suprised how complex the metalwork is that is going into the BinC -- we're used to seeing the elegant renders that don't show all the inner workings. However, I suspect it's MUCH simpler than conventional mainstream vehicles. It's fascinating to get a peek behind the scenes!
Yep, it is a snug fit. I think that the Italian team is already at Aptera, and that they are busy working on the Production Intent models. There is a LOT to come together, from the new EMR3 motor, to the PI battery pack, the whole tub and body panels, electrical, HVAC, lights, glass, computers, displays, interior, seats, etc.. It would be great to see some real world test results! Hopefully by the end of October. With PI4 hopefully being finished by the end of the year.
self repair is a real plus for me i have been a heavy equipment tech for many years even though im 77 years old now it doesn't worry at all im very active. 22 years for United Rentals
Definitely, mm. Looks nice. I just hope we can replace the thing as a whole unit or get to whatever we need to get to. The thing about the automotive field is anytime you see something being put together, you can just about be sure everything else you're going to have to remove to get to. Whatever you can see, being down here first. So when you put things together, you take them apart. The very last thing you put together is the very first thing he will start to take apart. Those um sheeting systems? I'm shooting an air system saying, hopefully we'll get at least 5 years or more out of them, hopefully. Being that it's in a car, i'm saying ten plus years because it's off and on, still though used everyday.
These are really the prototype cross car beams. The final production beams will have more integration and less weldment. Not sure if they will be produced by CoStamp though.
In your opinion, why hasn’t a Chinese company stole Aptera’s innovation? I could only imagine, that many of Aptera’s obstacles towards production, would not be a hurdle with a Chinese company, because of their manufacturing prowess and blind eye legal approach with patents. Thx
Where is the genius in banging plastic parts onto an aluminium frame? And still (after 3 months) Aptera could not build a single protoype out of their parts. Maybe that really needs genius.
At what point did they show you how it's built? I see still closeups of parts. The same types of pictures we have been shown for years. They leave it to you to guess what you are looking at. Notice how Aptera lets TH-camrs do all the talking in these videos. That way they avoid liability for making misleading statements. Transparent as mud.
why all the extreme closeups, because from a distance it would look like not much progress? Seems this camera choice is very purposeful to 'not show' progress. If I was an investor I would be furious, luckily I"m not that gullible in this respect. Your paying for this and they aren't even showing you the full details just rubbish closeups.
Fud stuffed his offal covered bedding into the crack that had allowed entrance to the hated sunlight. All trolls like it dark, but FUD liked it darker. The tiny screen of his device, aside from being his only window into the wider world, emitted all of the light that HE needed into this, his inky domain. Fud has always been a...contented troll; secure, at least, in his self delusional beliefs and misguided confidences. But, quite frankly, those damnable Apterians we're starting to tick him off....

Great Video. Thanks again William
This was one of your better reviews.

Good call on the heat exchanger. Another positively informative cast, thanks William.
Good to see the makeup of the structure behind the dash, this is an area which hasn't been revealed before.
Let’s Go Aptera!!

That cross beam seems awfully complex to build- many welded joints, folds and bolt-ins. I have to wonder what Sandy Munro thinks of it.

As a DIY repair guy I hate "Tight".
The vocational training - "Details to follow".
KISS: keep it simple Steve

Because they are focused on Tesla as are most companys
They will, but only after Aptera has become a big commercial success. PISS: play it safe stupid.
Believe it or not, a Chinese firm actually owned the Aptera intellectual property for several years and did nothing with it!
I suggest await a finished product, and the market's response. Then there is more information to base a business decision upon.

the extreme close up nonsense is a trademark of Jason Hill. He did this same stunt with the pre Gamma machine. I agree, its infuriating.
Aptera has no intention of building anything just bilking investors.
