That's be Firefest in Nottingham. Two days of fabulous melodic rock - Tyketto, Danger Danger, Firehouse - and, of course, the reformed White Sister. Should be absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see all these great bands under one roof. This Tattoo Rodeo track is fabulous - great stuff.
Saw the vid with my father in the early 90's- I was in kindergarten! And more than 15 years later, I heard it again by accident one day in the same room but this time not on tv but youtube! Chills everytime I hear it! Bravo Tattoo Rodeo for being Woooooooow! Bravo Chip Miller for the video! Long live MTV
Dennis Dries is my uncle. They aren't gone just not popular in the US anymore. I think it was two years ago or so they did a tour in Europe. These guys were my first concert (as a tiny baby with ear plugs and back stage passes).
Dennis Churchill-Dries is one of the BEST rock singers ever. We need him and some others to unleashe their talents on a whole new generation of music fans so they can really understand and appreciate what rock music should be. Kids today only know the garbage they are fed by MTV and radio. Rock on Dennis...so much passion in his singing. Today's singers take noteThese bands threw down the gauntlet back in the day and you have yet to meet or exceed the challenge set forth by the masters!
August 9, 1991 in Charlotte, NC. I went to hear BAD COMPANY and DAMN YANKEES with tickets I won 4 days earlier in a phone-in contest on Rock-101 in Greenville, Sc. I had never heard of the opening act, TATTOO RODEO, so I arrived later. I caught the last 20 minutes of the act and wished I had arrived earlier. Of course, BAD COMPANY and DAMN YANKEES were big names and everything I expected. I became a fan of TATTOO RODEO that night.
Holy shit!! God bless youtube. My friend found their first album on cassette after it was deleted. After we heard this song, we went on a mission to find this album on CD. I found mine on the net. I ordered it from England for roughly $30. I don't know how this song wasn't #1!!!! I love this band. EXTREMELY underrated! I have the Skin album as well!
Great band! Stumbled onto the tape by sheer luck about 10yrs ago while trying to find some new "old" metal bands I hadn't heard of. What a find. Could not believe they didn't get more press in the metal mags and more airplay on the airwaves. Love the music and the vocalist was a real talent. Best of luck in what ever they do now. And if there is ever a reunion tour (the original drummer will be missed) count me in! I don't care if they're playing the mall!
wow, simply awesome, saw this one one at Super Cahnnel back in '91 I wish those times to come back - 'til then just try to live your life as you really want - keep rockin' hard
sweetest band ever...they were great.. they rock great songs and writing ..and the voice is just unbelievable.. need more bands like this...what happen to then any one know..
I bought this 'tape' the same day I picked up The Cult's "Sonic Temple". Both albums are in my personal top 20. This song showed me ballads could have a little more substance than most of what was out there, at the time.
the singer is the most awesome that I've ever heard, and I grew up with this music.man back when the band wrote there own songs, the singer had to Kno how to sing and the band had to Kno how to play
I saw these guys when they were on tour with Bad Co., and Damn Yankees. That was "way back" in the early 90s. They had another song I really like, I think its called, Let Me Be The One? Something like that. I haven't heard that one in a long time either.
great damn song. I've been listening to the "Skin" album quite a bit lately, but's it's nice to get a great tune off the first album. Don't have it anymore.
Racine I have their White Sister cassette as well! They lived in my hometown of Burbank, Ca. and are a huge part of my Junior High and High School years! I remember the first time I saw them live in Hollywood! Great band!
To Tattoo Rodeo fans, besides being friends with the band members, I am the Co-Director, Producer, and Co-Editor of this clip, working closely with Tom Trobovich (who also helmed "We Are The World"). Besides this MTV version, we also did another version for VH-1. You can check out a pristine copy uploaded directly from my master on-line tapes, just loaded onto youtube. Just search under Chip Miller Music Videos.
Yes it was. Good eye, my friend. We shot there a few months after Neil Young shot his clip there. Great locale, and good burgers too. At the time, I lived in Burbank about 10 blocks from the place, so it was also convenient.
THANKS 4 POSTING this great song, what a terrific band..what ever happen to them?does anyone out there have news??ANOTHER FLASH BACK OF EARLY 90S was a band called the POOR BOYS,same sort of style.I cant find them anywhere..well tattoo u rock

Produced and edited by your truly, Chip Miller, who also co-directed, and Travis Miller, who co-produced with helmer Tom Trobavich ("We Are The World," "The Black Crowes) for Atlantic Records. Bryan Greenberg shot. There are two master versions of the video, one featured here and the editors version - my fave. The clip was shot on location at the Tinhorn Flats Bar in Burbank (also featured in a Neil Young video and several films), and at the Starlight Amphitheater in Burbank. This early work of mine was from my production company at the time, Red Hots Entertainment. My new company, Desert C.A.M. Studios/Winmill Films continues making music videos, just completing my 185th video as a director for MTV, VH-1, BET, and/or CMT. You can check out our TH-cam Channel, where you can also see the editor version of this video.
I am sure a lot, as well as at other labels too. Ruthless business unfortunately. We did a Prince video years ago for the first Batman video, and on that clip, MCA allocated almost $300,000 for the shoot, but when we finally got our budget, we received $225,000, never knowing where the other $75,000 went to. Anyway, Happy 2010 and keep rockin'. My best to the guys should yu be in touch.
Best mmm no, Good hells yeah.. Here are a few ballads to look for old time sake. ALONE AGAIN by Dokken, LOVE SONG by Tesla, NOBODYS FOOL by Cinderella, LOVE IS A LIE by Great White. Good Stuff.
Your dad has pipes, aye! Pat him on the back. I'm a proud owner of White Sister's first album on white vinyl (label's Heavy Metal America). I still give it a spin every now and again.

Great band that was so under-appreciated. Their music is gold

Great AOR band. They embody the whole essence of an American perfect hard rock band. All their songs are No 1 to my ears! Keep on rockin'!
Ive known him closing in on 38 years. Still nicest man I have ever met.
BTW, in the door shots I was holding traffic on Magnolia Blvd...Burbank.
I met them at a Damn Yankees concert around 92. Awesome guys. Wish they couldnteach me how to play this song. Cant find the tabs anywhere.

This song resonates deep inside me. Judging from the # of hits, few people are aware of this fantastic song.
Love this! I still listen my cd all the time!!!!
Absolutely cracking tune! Bring back the good times!
Man, I was so in love with the keyboard player!!
Brings back so many memories of FM Station nights when they played there!

These guys really nailed the southern rock/hair thing. In the same (awesome) ballpark as Tora Tora and Tangier IMHO

80's Harikadır. Ne yazıkki o dönemler çok çok geride kaldı :(

I am listening to this as part of a play list. Honestly I don't remember this band or song and that's too bad for me, they're really good.
