Thanks so much for making this! My grandmother (recovered alcoholic thanks to my grandfather) heard me playing this on my electric guitar and came in my room and started playing along with me!
I am so happy i have found this channel. I am almost 50 years old and picked up guitar during the boring stages of lock down with covid 19. I have never played and instrument until now . You have made this as easy as it can get and it makes me want to pick up these skills faster and more often. A huge thank you.
Dave you are my Hero. This song tutorial and Wish you were here so far are my favorite. You my man are the greatest so far here. I'm ready to go premium, If you take me on Sifu!
HI Chris enjoyed your Tutorial on Tennessee Whiskey I no most of my chords trying to learn how to lead Guitar seems to be much harder than I expected really interested in learning more
Best teacher ever! I got a guitar for Christmas this year & I was starting to think I would never actually learn how to REALLY play and actual well know on song. PLEASE make video on how to play flower shops by Ernest and Morgan Wallen!
My mother figure died a few days ago. I don't know her favorite song. She had this song as her ringtone for whenever anybody called her. Been trying to find an accurate way to play this song. Just trying to do her memory justice. Thanks for this tutorial.
Been playing this a while - first time checking this tutorial and it's really solid. A few nuances in the solo that helped me make my rendition a bit better - thanks
Dave Tran you're awesome dude!! Your tutorials motivate me so much. Thank you man! As I been uploaded a few cover songs as well. You truly make me believe I can only get better and better!! Thank you so much.
thanks Johan! Just checked out your vids - you got talent! Keep it up man :) putting yourself out there and recording yourself will benefit your playing a lot! Cheers
A couple of things - I've been learning guitar less than 2 weeks. I can do the major chords, some minors, but I can't change chords smoothly yet. On top of that, I can't do a Bm yet but thats ok. When I'm just sitting around, I'm practicing scales and learning the notes on the fretboard. I learned the intro last night by watching this video. I have an acoustic guitar so my fingers are now pretty raw. HAHA but it's worth the pain. My wife and I love this song, but I've practiced the intro so much that she might get tired of hearing it. :) You've helped me out a ton already man. Keep up the good teaching.
@@GuitarZero2Hero I'm having a blast learning. I should've learned guitar 25 years ago instead of learning the drums. I loved playing the drums, but my parents wanted it quiet when they got home from work. Can't exactly practice when I have to be quiet. Anyways, I'm going to work on the solo next, but not stop trying to get the Bm down. If I can play the rhythm and have the solo down in the next couple months, I'll count that as a W. Thanks for your reply!
If you’ve got a background in drums you’ll be great with guitar :) guitar is a very rhythmic thing, so once you get the finger positioning and strength out of the way you’ll be killing it! All the best
How much for your premium class thing? This really helps me learn this song by teaching how to do everything. It's really helpful. Thank you so much. Means a lot
Great lesson. Thanks. I'm trying to emulate the tone I'm hearing and failing. Are you getting it through your amp, if so what settings? Are you using any pedals, eq, etc.? Again, settings please.
Might want to add that the tab for the solo says hit 7th fret on G string and slide to the 11th, but it looks as though you play 7th, then play the 9th and slide to the 11th. IDK which is right, but both sound good to me when I play it as long as I play in time.
Dave, do you know any place where u could enter in a chord & it will generate a bunch of different ways of playing it/alternative fingerings/voicings for that chord? 🤔 Only asking because ive been practicing castle on the hill and my ring and pinky finger are cramping up because they stay in that position for too long
@@GuitarZero2Hero Oh i forgot about that one, thanks! Oof my pinky finger is cramping up so badly for the first time. It started to bend a bit every time i play the Bm

Dave..... You're the best, the most gracious and generous guy on you tube....Just stay this way and don't change....THE BEST GUITAR TUTORIAL EVER ...❤
Best tutorial for the solo but it’s hard when I have to play it on acoustic, anyways great work!
same here!
Transpose the notes down on your fretboard. They can be played in a lower octave and still sound good.
I know this was a while ago. Some bends are nigh on impossible on an acoustic.. but! Learning on acoustic will make you better on electric!

loved the solo breakdown ❤️
Thanking you very much, didn't need to look else where, you had the whole lesson here from solo to strumming to vocalist. Cheers highly recommended.

Why does your bass have 6 strings? Weird.
Bass? It’s a telecaster
Maybe because it’s a guitar??
